  • STAY GLUED TO YOUR TV SET!

  • God, such a great, great, great album. I actually heard this about a month ago off of my dad's original copy and it just blew me away. 154 is equally and yet entirely differently a work of genius.

  • It's S*** It's S*** with icing on it. XD

  • the only classic album you actually rated?

  • @shauno5166 He rated a few more, such as 36 Chambers.

  • You should review 154! :)

  • Good review for a great album. I actually prefer Chairs Missing over this album - one of my favorite records

  • i love wire <3

  • Thumbs up if you shat your pants at 2:23

  • > I don't want to review older / "classic" albums.

    > reviews 1977!!!!! Pink Flag

    > not a word about 2009 best album, Frusciante's Empyrean

    So sad

  • @Lietuvaitis2 Yes, I'd love to know what Anthony thinks of Empyrean.

  • Is this your favourite record ever?

  • great in '77...stuck with it ever since !!!

  • Great review, one of my favorite albums of all time, deff in my top 5. Key track that often gets left behind: Feelings Called LOVE check it out

  • in this review, you said you'd do more classic album reviews - now I'm unsure of your stance! ;_; but nah it's cool brah.

  • illllllllllllllllllllllll ninooooooooooooooooo!

  • you really should do more classic album reviews

  • cake. pure, uncut, black tar cake...

  • why not do anymore classic album reviews.

  • I found you because I was looking to sample a bit of the new Swans album. I've looked at about 5 of your videos now; a bit sidetracked. I enjoy reading and writing reviews, but I certainly question that. Who needs a review? We can just sample the music online. Still, waxing wax is great fun. I guess youtube video hasn't killed the review star. Yeah, Pink Flag is a definite ten. On to hear a bit off the new Swans...

  • I saw them at the Marquee shortly after this came out, fantastic, although like some others, I think Chairs Missing is even better.

  • Love your channel! Keep the classics coming! So what are your top 10 favourites of all time?

  • I can't do nothing but agreeing with you 100%.

I bought Pink Flag in december 1977 and I was immediately transfigured, since then this record remains in my top five of all times.

  • FUCKIN AMAZING ALBUM

  • i like plain cake i like the wire

  • I really want you to keep doing this Anthony, review some of your favourite albums of all time :)

  • You dare to even review this album? shame on you.

  • despite being a huge fan of punk, i had never even heard of Wire until one of the teachers at my high school told me about them. how lame is that??!! lol

  • You have a way with words, Anthony! I've never listened to anything by Wire, though I've been aware of them for a long time now, but your review certainly made me want to hear this record at last so it's on my wishlist now.

It will be great to have your take on some of your fav albums over the years, I totally support this idea.

Thanks for a great channel, I'm so glad to have found it! ^^/

  • alright sweet dude imma check this album out

  • album i think u should review is fas-ite,maledicti,in ignem aeternum by deathspell omega considering u did a few black metal reviews

  • just found you and your reviews. enjoying them very much; and learning a lot of the music you like.

a band that you should review for the sake of a bit of modern exposure that you should know, and if not SHOULD HEAR! is Nomeansno. they have many of the qualities im seeing in your preferences. and they are fucking amazing.

A good starting place for new listeners is the album WRONG.

PS. Hit up Mother Mother one day. they cooo

  • I've never gotten into NMN, but then again I've never heard the album WRONG. Dunno if I was just listening to the bad stuff. I'll try to hit it up, and thanks for watching, dude. :-)

  • The best part was I was eating cake during the review. Great album, I haven't listened to it in ages. Thanks for reminding me about it Mr.Needledrop.

  • Lulz! That must have been surreal! EATING THE CAKE!!!

  • I like the rock music/ house analogy

  • Thanks a lot, dude. :-)

  • I heard of the Wire 3 years ago and this was the1st album of theirs that I bought, I probably listen to at least 1 track off of it every day.

  • It's great that you're reviewing classical stuff. Excellent idea... Peace.

  • Glad to see yr review classic stuff. It's a good move considering most new music blows.

All these lo-fi,shit gaze, chillwave and beard rock bands all sound the damn same. It's soo boring.

  • do you like Wire's new stuff?

  • Not as much as the old stuff, sir.

  • YES!!!!!!!!!!!! DOT DASH!

  • Good one T. You should go on to do something on the Minutemen.

  • @legunncat that's exactly what I was gonna post...i'll bet he's got something to say about double nickels

  • I bought this album of iTunes after seeing your review and I've already listened to it 3 times. It's genius.

  • good review man, youve made me want to dig this album out again.

  • Uhhh. I want to know more about your 10/10 albums. How many are there?

  • Prolly tons. :-D

  • Pink Flag is a great album, but I think chairs missing is their best work.

  • This is great, more postpunk stuff to the people! And I'm really hoping for a review of the fantastic track from The Radio Dept. their single "Heaven's on Fire". prettyplz?

  • Have you heard R.E.M's cover of Strange?

  • um, fuck yeah.

  • surprising but thank you

  • Awesome man, I love the idea of you reviewing more old stuff. I'm going to check out this LP as soon as possible, really got my attention. Also, I was like "woah, no 2-3 minute talking about other stuff before the actual review?" :P

  • in your barbershop quartet, can i be one of the fantanos of anthony and the fantanos?

  • So disappointed Anthony - I thought you were going for a moonwalk on the intro! I like the sound of lime green shag carpet :)

  • Sorry, can't moonwalk, bro. :-p

  • This is my thoughts that happen in 1977. Rock music became too big for its own good. Something had to make it come crashing down. Punk bands had to strip it down and basically ruin (Ruin in a good way) and distort the sound. A year later, bands like Wire and Joy Division picked up the pieces and started to re-invent music.

  • I enjoy this theory.

  • I bloody love this album too, and the second clip you played is my favourite track (Three Girl Rhumba) :D

  • That track's not my fav, but it gets stuck in my head so easily. Those guitar chords are killer.

  • pink flag is great but why are you reviewing an album that's over 30 years old? is this a new thing you're doing? if so........ gang of four entertainment! please.....

  • More old LPs will be reviewed soon.

  • Dude! Thanks for talking about Wire! Without Pink Flag there would be no Minor Threat! How bands have covered 12UX? (haha you just said that) this is a statement of this kind of music being against the grain!

  • @FlamencoGod Not only that I have to say that my disappointment level in you has dropped and my respect level of you has risen, because the first 10 I've seen you give anything is truly deserved, you didn't waste it on some really stupid shit.

    Bravo!

  • well... it's not very artsy, but i really dig UFO's Phenomenom..

    i don't know why i'm posting this.

  • i love this album, its the best punk album of all time

  • Why can I tolerate death/black metal vocals but not punk vocals?

  • No clue, bro.

  • B-)

  • Nice, one of my favourite band, all the early are great. I like 154 most, greaaaaaaaat man!

  • You listen to much classical music?

  • I'd love to, actually. I have some misc symphonies, but I'd actually like to really get into it. Any suggestions on a place to start.

  • I really enjoy the Orff symphony Carmina Burana. There's alot of fun percussion and it's quite exciting.

  • This sounds awesome.

  • Wire! Yay : )!

  • Hell yeah it's your channel! your the captain of this battleship!

    As always, great review.

  • CAP'N FANTANO! :-p

  • Don't tell me you've fallen for the old shit-cake gag!

  • I have a few times. :-p

  • yet again another album i will check out based on your review, never seen you do a strong 10 before so definitely worth looking into.

Weasel forever. ahahaha best blogtv of my life

  • nice man, love to hear what you have to say about the classics.

  • I'm gonna start doing it more, so be on the lookout. :-)

  • Yet another band you got me into. I really like that album! Keep on rockin and a rollin!

  • WooT! :-D

  • My GF and I were watching you & MRS. 666666 last night. It was a riot. :-p

  • Heck yea man...bringing joy into peoples hearts and farts are what we are all about!

  • Yeah, Classic shit!

  • My 'classic' album collection sucks so i like it that you will be doing some more reviews :D

Listening to Pink Flag on Spotify right now, it's cool!

  • SPOILER ALERT!!

    dope metaphor @ 1:07

  • Wire's pretty cool, they're one of my dads favorite bands

  • I wanna hang out w/ur dad.

  • I think he'd like you

  • I think it's a great idea you review a classic album once in a while because it's interesting to find out what albums qualifies as a 10 to you.

Curious to see if there's any metal albums you think deserve a 10 :P

  • There totally are, and I'll be getting on it, for sure. :-D

  • Great Art is Timeless !!!

  • Wire's Pink Flag or Mission of Burma Vs.? :0

I hope a Burma review is in your plans in the future!

Oh and nice review by the way.

  • planning on it. :-)

  • cake....................................... ftw

  • i like short songs other than like 8 minut songs that try to be epic and just fail

  • SIMPLY love how you described it. You are one of the best reviewers on YouTube, and it's a pleasure to listen to your stuff! :D

  • Sorry to flood the comments with a second comment, but I would like to add that I'm really refreshed by this review. It's nice to see you talk about a record that you love, instead of a brand new one. A nice little change

  • Yeah, I wanna start breaking things up a bit w/new & old stuff, I think. It's good to do a classic every once in a while.

  • love this record!

  • howcome you did a review of this? it's been re-issued? have the 'suggestion' rules changed!?

  • Meh, just cuz I wanted to? *shrugs*

  • He calls the shots.

Looks like another "Budos Band" I'll fall in love with.

  • Pink Flag...is...the...total...shit. So awesome.
