  • I was very impressed the first time I saw a Phylliidae. However, I would not eat salad for a few months thereafter.

  • I can understand that..LOL While living in Thailand I some times was offered a few tasty bugs to enjoy, but i declined.

  • Never "loved" insects myself, but do remember as a kid, being fascinated by them. I had a paralizing fear of spiders, but used to sit for hours watching them build their websites... especially the Orb Weavers. Once they built it I'd go catch me a bug of some sort, stun it a little & toss it in the web to watch the final outcome. I kept catching bigger bugs just to see how valiant the spider was. As long as the web held, the spider would win. Even wasps were eventual victims. Enjoyed your video!

  • I too loved to watch spiders in the corner of the basement and do own a Orb Weaver myself. Spiders are so important in the balance of nature. thanks for the comment.

  • Happy Fathers day to you too!! Wow !! If i seen a moth that big i would run:) My daughter is a big bug fan, she is is always capturing something and analyzing it.

  • Back to you, Justin...happy belated Father's Day--i have a few more just as big or bigger!!!! Tell your daughter to keep up the interest in "bugs".
