Maybe anchoring the pinky is bad during rythmic parts, but straight chromatic or 3 note shred, its totally a winner. Michael angelo batio (although slightly a douche) swears by anchoring, however Zakk wylde floats always...its purely personal preference so tormentor, do what feels natural!

I've already said this once before. This is clearly not sped up. If it were sped up the pitch of his guitar would be higher and the song wouldn't sound right. So in order for that to happen he would have had to figure out exactly what key his guitar needed to be in to play it slower so it would be in the exact tuning when sped up to 300bpm which for all intensive purposes is impossible. If you think you can do it fucking try it and get back to me. Just accept the fact that he dominated that song

Speed isn't everything not articulation is important to, while there is some of that, their new music is more technical and note crazed. Pretty good though man, when you do those fast chords picked like that work on doing just down strokes because they do seem kinda muddled together with the alternate picking, it is possible to do at that speed. Also for a challenge use your fingers not your wrist to pick. But pretty good man.
