What Ive always liked about Star Trek was the tolerance in it, we are all equal no matter what or how different we are, having Tolerance in it was really great and is one of the things that will always make Star Trek Star Trek, and one of the things I will love about it.

They were going to film it with the kiss and without, and Shatner kept delaying the shot without it. When they finally got to it, there was only enough time to film it once. In that shot, they're straining, they don't kiss, Shatner looks at the camera and crosses his eyes. Nobody caught it until it was too late. They went with the kiss :D
