This looks like a Epiphone G-310 model. From the pictures here I would say it is genuine. Like previous comments, Epiphone is a branch of the Gibson Corporation so there is no license infringement. While the G-400 and the actual Gibson SG have a set net, but the G-310 is indeed a bolt-on model. Also, I doubt that Guitar Center would sell a counterfit because of legal liability.

This guitar is an Epiphone and Epiphones have 3 screws. Gibsons have 2. And counterfeit Gibsons also have 2 screws. The OLD ones from a few years ago had 3 screws, but not anymore.

its fake ... 1 the "h" is pointing dead center 2. the pickguard dosnt match the curves 3. (depending on the year) it should have grover tuners 4. the curve of the fretboard looks too much (the radius should be 12" but it looks around 10" but its hard to see on computer so simply make a circle with the distance from center to perimeter being 12" and put the neck through and see if it matches in curvature if not then its fake for sure)
if the h in epiphone is to the right of the middle of the headstock, then it is real, and im pretty sure that guitar centre is an authorised epiphone and gibson dealer

check if under the nut uf u got a metal nut u open that thing with 3 screws, and i think it is fake, cuz u got 3 screws on that place of the headstock and real ones only have 2, i hope i helped u out

Fake SG I am a member of gibson fake one!!! HEs tricking u ill tell u how
1-The Head its written epiphone straight but it should be verticle.
2-The Tuning keys are not alighned properly.
3-A real gibson has 2 screws on the truss rod,not 3.
4-A real gibsons head is curved not straight.
4-And the tuning keys are in diffeent shape but this one is a normal electric shape.A epiphone has a circle kind of tunngg keys not normal electric ones!!!!!THIS ONE IS FAKEE I AM A MEMBER AND KNOW IT.its fakeee!

You have no idea what you're talking about. Epiphones have 3 truss rod cover screws, not 2. Gibsons have 2. Just say no to drugs.

There are many Chinese fake Epiphones out there. Epiphone outsells Gibson (they're way more affordable), that's why they make fake ones. People are buying them thinking that they're real Epi's.
