You talk about the "evil corporations" cutting down trees, but I guarantee that your house is on what used to be on forested land. Aside from that, the pictures you showed of fires were probably either accidental, or purposely done and controlled so that the forest would grow back quickly on nutritious soil. Furthermore, to quell a common myth, oxygen comes mostly from algae, not trees. This is not spam, it's information, so don't mark it as such.

@garizable I'm not defending corporations. I'm saying that you should do some research. 70-80% of oxygen comes from algae, not trees. They create ecosystems, which is great. I'm all for saving the forests, but recycling is not the way to do it. Printer paper comes from birch trees, which are farmed and replanted in Russia. Most lumber is farmed the same way. 48% of deforestation occurs for sustenance farming, which is not commercial, but for the survival of new families.
@garizable In short, the only way to maintain forest ecosystems is to decrease population growth. Most deforestation occurs because humans need more space to live in.
