To me games are about fun and not how much graphical effects you can thrown in a game. If you have a game that requires a powerful PC to play not many people are going to like this game. Besides I thought it was unoriginal. An Island? Been there, Alain twist? Done that. Yes having nice graphics in games is nice but when it comes to the point that most people will half to have the right gear just to play it, it becomes frustrating to play it. Thus not liking the game vary much.

@Seriath1 Exactly, and people also don't realise that you don't have to max a game out to play it, there are lower settings in Crysis if you're PC can't max it.

I agree in the regard that it should be able to be enjoyed by every one. But thats life. Someone with a 100in LED LCD and 7.1 surround sound watching a hd movie is going to get a better experince than someone watching the sd version on a 32 inch screen.

Crytek are completely pushing the engine to the limits that no system can run perfectly. No console can ever run CE2. Can't wait for Crysis 2. Same here, long live Crytek.

This is usually the rule- if you want the full experience from a PC developer, play it on the PC.

I remember somewhere that crytek said that they might come out with a consol version. But, the graphics aren't as NEARLY as good ast the PC. the PC can go up to Very High, while on the consoles, as they say, stays behind, playing at medium and some high settings.

(DX10 btw)

800x600/High(just wanna finish the game)

64Bit CPU and O/S just means You can address larger memory space so unless you put 4GB or more RAM in your computer then 64bit is just a marketing buzz word with no real performance gain

Don't forget to have 12GB of free hard disk space. I had 9 gigs free and the game crashed several times and I couldn't figure out why.

But I swear, once you get it workin, it's a PERFECT game, but I'm running with an Nvidia 8600GT and 2 Intel Core 2 duo processors and the best I can do is 1024x768 with no anti-aliasing and with advanced settings to medium and textures to high, but it's still a beautiful experience.
