to be honest, I actually kinda like Super Godzilla. To me, it has the same charm a lot of the Hensei/90s Godzilla films had, and once you master the battle system, the game actually gets fairly easy. In a way, this game is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Interesting Fact: This game is based around an unfinished Godzilla film. Toho was developing a godzilla movie with the same plot as this game, but eventually scrapped it. kinda sad though, cause I feel this would have been a better movie than a game

I think that the Godzilla games were so bad is due to a conflict of cultures. Godzilla is so big, awesome, and terrible you can't even think about being him as a player. This is why his games are from the perspective of "Mission Control". The games put you in the movies, and if you were in the movie this is what you would do:

@worldruler10...I'm with you. I absolutely loved Godzilla for the original Nintendo...then waited so anxiously for the sequel. The the sequel came out and it was horrible. That Godzilla 2 game sucked ass so badly, it was painful. Then I got hopeful when this game came out for the SNES and it was better than Godzilla 2, but still lacked the charm of the original by far. It's like they couldn't understand that we wanted Zilla to free roam, blow stuff up and fight monsters.

@xraycat30 I don't Know about what you said about Godzilla 2, It was actually a fun game, me and my friends played it all the time, people hate it because it is not what people expected for a Godzilla game, but was a good strategy game, had most of the famous monsters, but super godzilla was terrible, I didn't know what i was suppose to do until I read a couple of guides and videos, and finally played it I couldn't even beat ghidorah because the controls are so terrible and this ends my point

@worldruler10...well...with Godzilla 2...I wanted a game like Godzilla 1 where you had monsters, and the enemy was monsters, and the bread and butter of the game was about fighting eachother, while smashing building and structures along the way. Combine that with a good story and I'm sold. That's why I loved the first game so much...but that second one to me had nothing that I wanted. I gave up on it very quickly. Same thing with this one.

I LOVE this game. It required that you use strategy, rather than just attacking a weak point repeatedly. If you just tried to power through, you got your ass kicked all the way back to Honshu. The music was actually rather good for the time. Only problem, why the Hell hasn't Bagan had a movie yet?

@JSlayer108 That is actually not true. There is only one ending to Godzilla v. King Kong. Kong "wins" in both versions. There are only very minor differences between the Japanese and American releases, and most of it has to do with dialogue. The "Godzilla" ending doesn't exist online because it doesn't exist at all.

In the Japanese Version of King Kong vs Godzilla, You hear Godzilla's roar at the end an then King Kong's, In the American version all you hear is King Kong's. I know because i own them both.

An it was a tie.. Godzilla won the first fight, Kong won the second, but they both survived so there was no winner.

The Japanese version is more of a "draw" while the American clearly wants us to favor King Kong. But there, alas, isn't a huge difference. That'd have been awesome!

........Actually godzookie was his nephew in the cartoons and that Godzilla did die his son became the new Godzilla from all the radiation bringing him back to life. in the 2000's its just a different story line for Godzilla as they don't go with the other old movies but the very first. Godzilla died in one of the last 90's films and Godzilla jr came back alive from Godzilla's radiation, the 2000 ones don't go with he other films its just a new story. the gave was missing a couple things but I think if they decided to go for more of a board game turn based rpg game where if you bump into another monster you go into a battle sequence that would be cool and maybe even a multi player mode would be cool and you would be able to play other monsters that would be awesome.on modern hand held systems like the psp and an online mode this game would reign supreme.
