  • @chimichanga1254 dont point the muzzel at anything your not willing to kill or shoot at. take it apart and clean it with gun oils after everytime shooting. keep in in a bag or sock when not in use. never store it loaded. keep it in a safe place. and enjoy shootin shit up when u do

  • First 30 seconds has no point.

  • could someone please explain me how in god's name the ejection of the bullet works, because i just don't get it...

  • When the bolt comes back, the spring loaded extractor pulls the empty casing along with it. It hits the ejector, which causes the casing to rotate out of the ejection slot.

  • @thespecialone45 A claw (extractor) grabs onto the rim of the cartridge. Once the bolt goes to the rear, the extractor holds onto it, thus pulling out the case, too. There are a few different types of ejectors (location -- inside the bolt face or on the inside of the reciever), but basically the case eventually hits a piece (ejector) that pushes the case out of the reciever. The ejector is usually on the other side of the extractor so the case pivots off of the extractor. Find some pictures.

  • @thespecialone45

The ejector is a spring loaded blade of metal thats being held against the receiver wall when the bolt is not all the way back or is ready to fire. Upon firing the casing is held by the extractor and it stays on the bolt as you pull back. There is a groove cut on the bolt lug where the ejector springs falls in when the bolt is nearing the end of the pull. The ejector then moves beneath the casing and the casing is "pushed off" the extractor by bolt momentum. :)

  • @thespecialone45 The extractor is a claw that hooks onto the rim of the cartridge when the bolt is closed (In this case, the side of the receiver nearest the top of the screen. That hook pulls the cartridge along with it as it is retracted. When the bolt is retracted to a certain point, the other side of the cartridge (nearest the bottom of the screen) is impacted by a stationary pin called the ejector. This impact causes the cartridge to rotate around the point where the extractor is gripping.

  • Proud owner of an M1891/30 Izhevsk Hex Ex-Dragoon, and I allways wondered how that looked in slow mo.

  • Is this Mosin Naggat?

  • Yes.

  • Can someone explain me how the next bullet does not also get ejected?

  • the bolt grabs the rim of the casing when it's pulled back and pulls it onto a ramp, which ejects it. the next one round coming up from the magazine will just stop at the top until you repeat the process

  • the next bullet is ready to be pushed into the barrel when the bolt is pushed forward. and when the bolt is closed with a round in the barrel the other bullets sit in an internal magazine under the bolt.

  • There is a metal tab inside the magazine that is cycled by the bolt to only allow 1 round up in the position where the bolt grabs it and pushes it into the chamber when the bolt is cycled back into the chamber.

  • @qwastic The ejector is reset by the working of the bolt, because the bolt locks into place at the rim when the handle is turned down in the foward bolt position. When you pull the bolt back, the ejector will flip out the empty casing but not the next coming up because the bolt hasnt grabbed the rim of the casing.

  • interesting 5/5

  • wolf ammo...? show a slo-mo vid of you ejecting a shot round, or the muzzle blast

  • Nah, just some Russian surplus I picked up. I love that 7.62x54R is still cheap and available, unlike most anything else.

  • WTF?! Bolt-Action rifle, and you are talking about muzzle blast?!

  • Mosins have a nice muzzle blast too them... especially the carbines!

  • The bolt from The Moson Nagant is beautiful, I was in awe the first time I took it apart and cleaned it. the spring and the pin are made to last forever. I find it funny that some call the bolt complicated. But then again this is my first bolt.

  • the bolt is a frikin puzzle it took me like 2hrs to figure out how to re assemble it

  • FMJ!!! Are those allowed in most outdoor ranges? Curious.

  • Probably depends where you are.

I've never had any issues in AZ, and I've shot at BLM land and "real" outdoor ranges.

  • is your bolt very loose

  • Not really, no.

  • rock n roll!

  • drugs

  • Sex.
