  • I was a Mormon for 27 years. The complexity of this cult is so amazing that it attracts the most competent and dynamic people in every nation. For this reason, I have devoted my past 22 years compiling the data on those who have left. It is about to be published in a 4-part article in Psychology Today. Or you may read it at the blog, free. Google my name.

  • I WANT ONE OF THOSE SHIRTS!!!

  • @jambiyaSlaughter Get it made at cafe press

  • Lame.

  • This describes: Public school, government, law enforcement, military, and organized religion... amazing video

  • Wasn't this by the folk who brought "Kentucky Fried Movie"?

  • this sounds like the military.

  • @UserXer0 nahhh

  • Did this just describe TV?

  • This is Jesus Camp

  • I want this music

  • This would be funny if it weren't spot on. They did forget Fluoride though.

  • It's ironic how the intro to this video is "cult like."

Don't you want X, Y and Z? You can have them if...

  • This sounds a lot like the major religions like Christianity and Islam.

  • Can't we all agree that all religions are equally invalid?

  • @ubernerd35 NO agreeing would be too easy, and make really poor TV... besides we would be depriving all those dead beat capitalists holy men of their hard earned money, yes?

  • How to start Islam

  • @TheRockZH Or Christianity.

  • @kevinrocks2323

That was superfluous. So your personal god is political correctness? That's even worse.

  • @TheRockZH I don't understand your reply. You pointed out that this can be analogous to how Islam reached prominence, and I pointed out that the same could be said for Christianity. How would anything I said indicate that I worship political correctness or be superfluous?

  • do I get to have hot sexy with mindless blonds?

    if so, sign me up.

thanks for the vid, I'll get right on it.

  • Stamp out doubt. Stamp out doubt. Stamp out doubt.

  • 2 people didn't invent air.

  • @SharkSlayer353 Hey, you have sense too! I remember watching Zeitgeist after being recommended by a friend. I sat through the whole thing saying "That's wrong." or "Not quite." or "deliberately misleading" or "They're just making up shit now" or...

  • I invented air!

  • @SharkSlayer353 so uhh, you still on earth bro?

  • im gunna start my own cult... along time ago in a galixy far far away....

  • @SharkSlayer353 No, did i do research because of Zeitgeist? yes. did i/do i agree with Zeitgeist word for word? no. Bottom line i'm too stoned and tired to give a shit anymore lol.

  • @SharkSlayer353 all i have to say is LOL! do some research on sun worship, and then do some research on most of the mainstream religions, they're all personified versions of sun worship and it's all bogus. if you can't put the facts together than you need to hide your stupidity by disconnecting the internet and watching tv, you know...where you're accepted as a non retard? aha this is fun.

  • @SharkSlayer353 Did Jesus say that or not, easy question? Then, what did he mean?

  • @SharkSlayer353 Thank you! Venom comes your mouth with every opportunity, sorry! Thank you

  • Love this video! Truth is all religion have some of these things (yes, even whichever one you belong to!). Aum Shinrikyo wins though, they had ALL of it. No exceptions. Plus WMDs...

  • every religion is a cult

  • Is Dru Yoga a Cult?

  • Sounds like my former religion and every religion I have heard about.

  • To start a cult of self-worship and God denial, confuse people by drawing false analogies between exploiters of true religion and true religion itself. Portray all discernment as wrong or excessive. Never portray the virtuous results of confronting true evils and wrongs. Instead, imbue your audience with the sense that all judgment is wrong. Emphasize a controlling nature of judgment; never its necessity in the spiritual fight against de facto slavery to sin.

  • Sounds like my ex husband....

  • His Mind is Weak.......

    Yuri,Red Alert 2

  • His name is Robert Paulson

  • Didn't Jesus say " a man's own enemies will be person's of his own household, what do you think he meant by that? (Matt 10:36) Also, "he that has greater affection for father or mother than me IS NOT WORTHY OF ME" (Matt 10:37), Further, "he that has greater affection for son or daughter is not worthy of me (Matt 10:38) what do you think he meant by all of that?. Try to figure it out , hippocripes! I got a lot more if you want it.

  • @inscentof hippocripes? hahahahahha hypocrites* learn to spell

  • @inscentof I suspect this is a casualty of repeated translation and loss of intrinsic meaning due to lack of knowledge of the original cultural bias. What it probably means is that in order to free oneself from the "karmic entanglement" or "ego trap" or whatever you want to call it, one must denounce all things of this delusional world in order to achieve the clear, one-pointed focus needed to find the way out. I think when Jesus spoke, it tended to be from the perspective of "Oneness".

  • @steve42lawson Thank you!

  • two people are in a cult.

  • I'm starting a following. It is going to change how we see the world, and it will make our lives much more enjoyable than you could possibly imagine. Follow Me...

  • thanks for the tips.

look out for the religion of the four potato gods and the personification of existence of reality pretty soon!

  • @voter96 The all seeing eyes are watching you! We must return to the earth and stop eating our brother spuds!

  • @Immaruka oh, well, your allowed to eat them. I never want to give up chips.

  • This is brilliant and such organizations exist but it's important to make a distinction between a true cult and a true spiritual organization. The two can look the same unless you look closely. Probably the most telling distinction is the "us vs. them" mentality. A true spiritual organization founded by a truly enlightened master teacher, will demonstrate unconditional love in all things and will never guilt it's members or attempt to manipulate them. Such organizations do exist.

  • @steve42lawson absolutely man. good comparison is buddhism and christianity. christianity uses fear to control it's people. buddhism actually discourages people to "convert"

  • @steve42lawson orrr, is it more important to notice the similarities between the two ... and, wouldn't every one of the cults, say "no, no, no -- we are "true spiritual organization" ...

  • @maddymud Yeah, that's what makes it so hard to find the genuine spiritual organizations. It's a catch-22. You need the spiritual teaching to learn how to discern. You need the ability to discern to find the proper spiritual teaching. Damn insidious!

  • Sounds like a school teacher, are school teachers cults now o_O

  • You cheated on that test.. LOL.

  • Sad, only 8.000 people have seen this video

  • @jalopez270668 this isn't the first time this video have been posted. trust that many others have already seen this too

  • @jalopez270668 hey man it 17,000 people now

  • Thank you for expressing my thoughts about religion so clearly!

  • Ha, utterly brlliant! :)

  • why did someone throw gravy on the wall at 0:22?

  • I'll be putting this to use right away.

  • *favorite*

  • I wonder if I could start up a cult of cult-leaders and use this as a recrutment/training video.

All of my followers must go out into the world and start a cult that funnels money and power back to me. From their followers, one or two are selected to join my top-tier cult to receive the 'ultimate truths' and training to start their own cults...

A ponzie scheme of religion, what could ever go wroing?

  • Sounds like Landmark Education to me.

  • "The Doctrine is perfect."

Sounds like Scientology's "The tech is perfect."

  • Looking for Satanic cult members,If interested please message me,There will be no foolishness no killing of ones brothers no drinking poison you will live to see the end that us a promise.Hail Satan!

any cult will do,, just want power and free pussy

  • well this could come in handy!

  • im surprised it dosent have more views, great video hope it gets around.

  • Sounds like Christianity to me

  • Comment removed

  • @advantagehiphop You must have an extremely skewed view of Christianity. Maybe you're confusing actual Christianity with Mormonism or Jehovah's Witnesses?

  • @SamAndrew27 Maybe i don't buy into the bullshit and can analyze it externally and separate myself from it emotionally so i'm not blinded by the light. maybe.

  • @advantagehiphop Cult leaders use religion as a crux because it is established and people trust it, but they are twisting it for their *personal* evil. I have never experienced the kinds of awful things in things video at my church (Episcopal), or any true church I've been to for that matter, so I don't understand how you're relating this video to Christianity. Jesus preached love and acceptance, not cruelty and manipulation. Btw It's good to question, you have to so that one's faith is strong.

  • @halostereo Cult leaders, Pope's, Politicians, whoever are gonna keep doin their thing. I'm gonna keep smokin weed, and doin my thing. Have a nice day

  • @SamAndrew27 woah no need to bring down other religions remember both mormons and jehoveh witnesses believe the same as chirstans. In the bible and in jesus chirst, cults and religion are the same believe me iv studied it exstesivly the only difference is eventually cults use fear instead of guilt and cults have different goals.

  • icoc

  • I'm surprised Scientology hasn't tried to file a law suit against this video! We're only meant to find this stuff out on OT level VII

  • I think this is actually an instructional video on how not to fall into a cult.

  • @munster2012 i think the best way to avoid falling into a cult is to not be a fucking idiot

  • @munster2012 you are one clever so-and-so.

  • Almost all of this is used in Scientology.

  • @0Matiasu and the zeitgeist movement!!

  • @0Matiasu and christianity

  • @0Matiasu and christianity...

  • Thank you...great video...!!!

Some ppl on you tube should see this...

    GBU

  • Many of these were in the fundamental church I belonged to 30 years ago. Crazy to think anyone could get caught up but it happens.

  • This is totally awesome! Thanks for the tips! I've been trying to start a cult of the Blue Uhu for quite some time. We all wear a fish hat and blue spandex and we worship the UHU and make strange grunting sounds throughout the day. This video will really help me get some more members. Thanks a million!

  • Coooool I want a fish hat^^

But is there an alternative for the spandex-part? Looks really shitty on most people. Well maybe some brainwashing can help me with that...

  • Sorry, we all have to look the same. Don't worry by the time wer'e finished berating you and slamming you down, you'll come to love it :)

  • DO WANT!!

  • its funny how so many of these tactics are used in every denomination of christianity

  • @quantumdoom

Well there isn't a difference between a cult and religion.

  • Damn, the music is quite haunting.

  • i want!

  • This info is dangerous in the wrong hands. :( god damn cults

  • @drewd1987 this info is dangerous in ALL hands lol

  • great vid...I feel as though people need to be as much of a skeptic when it comes to these "cults" then when it comes to matters such as there governments actions etc.
