@kaseyuyesugi Its a good thing. When a ball that they release is not up to their customers standards, they remove it fast, but if its a really good ball e.g. hyroad they keep it. the invasion died really fast for a lot of people, and im one of them.

This ball was one of the only balls i really did not like from storm. However I bowled with it yesterday on the London pattern 44' of oil and alotttt of it and the ball hit like a truck! Great reaction in the back end. I would recommend using this ball for that pattern any day. Just bring the surface up to 2000
Sadly this ball has been discontinued, luckily my pro shop here has one in stock at 15lb. I was going to get the Nano, but this video changed my mind, but they're probably just making it look good.
I just bought this ball 2 weeks ago for my 19th birthday after taking 3 years off from bowling and after my first few shots I don't think I've even felt more confident with any bowling ball before. My first 6 games I played using it I averaged 215 and couldn't be more happy with the purchase. However, after about the first week, I went from having trouble keeping it on the lane to trying to get the thing to hook. I soaked the ball, but is this going to be an every week thing? I don't get it.

I'm not a fan of storm equiptment, but this ball really seems to hit like a semi from high rev players. A boy on my Highschool bowling team is a two handed bowler and uses this ball, it works fairly well for him.
Is it just me(Which I am sure it is), but why doesn't it look like the Invasion rolls very hard through the pins? I mean it has great velocity but it just doesn't seem like it hits very hard. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

@theprinceofrock11 Motiv is a really great company.. they've got some really impressive equipment that can perform on anything from fresh sport patterns to just flat out torn up open bowling shots. I have a video on my channel that was recorded when I couldn't keep my balance and my fingers and thumb were split wide open on a destroyed shot from the day before.. check it out, they're great.
I am having trouble with my invasion reading the lane. I clean it after every series, but recently started throwing the ball about 17 not 15. I am wondering if i should change the layout. It is currently pin up with the mass bias next to the thumb. If i have the pin moved under the fingers and the mass bias kicked out, would this make a big difference in reaction. I am wanting this ball to be for very heavy oil only.
This ball is beast. Got this ball a couple of months ago with the pin under fingers and its a monster if you play right in the oil. Just a warning, don't even try to play this anywhere there is dry because it will roll out fast and you'll leave a lot of 10 pins (or 7 pins if your left-handed). Also, I have had no problems with this ball losing reaction because I clean after every series (right after league and whenever I practice). Use Storm Reacta Clean and this ball won't die on you.
I got my Invasion about 2 months ago and love it, but the coverstock on the ball is going out already and I've had to have it resurfaced twice already. Is this a common problem with this ball? Thanks guys for the great videos!
@InTheKrossFire It is not really a problem with the ball. The way Storm surfaces work are with unique Ra and Rs values. This correlates directly with the friction created between the cover and lane surface. The more use the ball, the smoother it makes the cover. This in turn makes for less friction with the lane. @2mreatme This ball is very good for heavier volumes of oil. I would recommend using a layout that will Maximize the flare potential of the ball. Maximizing the balls flare potential will mean more fresh cover touching the lane surface with each revolution. This in turn will create more friction with the lane and should promote more overall hook potential.
need help. storm prodigy, storm virtual energy, or storm invasion. I know throw a brunswick fury pearl and play to the right and throw from 1st to second arrow. Want to play with more hook help, which one?
@WereHungryFilms Either the Prodigy or the Virtual Energy. I have a VE of my own and I love it when the pattern starts to break down. The Prodigy provides more overall hook, but is very controllable. I have had the Invasion, but I found that after a full cleaning of its coverstock, the ball quickly dies so steer away.
@peanut2700 It is going to depend on what you are using to clean the ball. As mentioned to InTheKrossFire, there is a specific method that Storm recommends to keep the ball reacting like new. Most reputable pro shops should know this method.
@WereHungryFilms It is going to depend on your style as to which will work best for you. Just because a ball is made to hook more does not necessarily mean it is going to work for you. Talk with their support staff and give them a bit of info about your game. I am sure that they will be able to assist you with finding the ball that would work well for you.
i prefer storm over hammer. i belive storm shoots my lines better and i also think hammer is good but its for powerhouse bowlers (outta control) in my opinion.
This is a downright awesome bowling ball. I was able to use mine today, but using a heavier ball (15lb>16lb) caused me to not bowl as well as I could have. Hope to put up some great scores with this ball once I get used to it.

@JoshandGreg I know someone who bought the invasion his first week he threw this ball the ball was excellent he striked alot but a month later his ball wasn't excactly like it was the first week.

i have a storm invasion and it has maybe 100 games on it if that and i throw it in a ball league right now with a low volume of oil it does not move much at all anyone know the reason for this?
@Badassrustler yea its probably just oil soaked. take it to a pro shop and ask them if they have a ball oven, if they do ask them if they can bake it for you. it will bring most of the oil out of the ball. it only costs around $15-$30 depending on the area where u live. hope that helps!

Hey im 15 years old, and i have revs on my ball, but not alot. I throw the ball with a speed of like 15 or 16 MPH. I currently throw the resurgence and i am averaging a 190 with it. Would you recommend this ball to me? Or what ball would you recommend?
@SCbowler4life kinda depends do u want alot of hook or a little hook? bowling mainly depends on how fast u can ajust to lane conditions the equipment become more of addons if you can adjust properly and quickly

I got my invasion a few months ago. Needs to be resurfaced but as my 2nd ball purchase and 1st serious ball purchase I love it. I break 200 all the time now with it and while it is a sponge for SURE if you take care of it it is definately an excellent ball.
Just got this on Saturday and I have to honestly say that this is the most aggressive ball I have ever thrown. It out hooks my next aggresive ball, the VE, by at least 8 boards! This ball just destroys on house patterns but I have yet to really test it on a sport pattern. So far I am in love with the ball! (and the smell too!)

@the300man ok yes the ball is a sponge, but you will leave the 10 pin with all equipment it doesnt matter. and i beg to differ about the corner hooking more... i drilled 2 invasions and 2 corners with same layouts (pin up and pin down with similar pin lengths) and i had to stand a good 4 left with feet and 2 left with eyes with the invasions from the lines with the corners on a fresh ths... so if the corner hooks more than please explain why i had to be farther left with the invasion.

I barely even use storm myself, i dont like the way it rolls. But i do have a virtual gravity and i think its a fantastic ball. But seriously, whats the point of bashing other companies? Some people like that skid snap that storm generally has, and there stuff does hook a ton if you need it to! I personally use amf300/900 global cause they make smooth rolling equipment, but you never see me going around saying every other company blows dick!
@theprofessional90 I am a JBT bowler myself and I can tell you every player on the JBT doesn't throw just one brand. I have a mix of brands (2 Storms, a Columbia 300 ball and an Ebonite) because one brand is different from the other. So having more than one brand in your bag is a plus because it gives you a variety of looks. I do agree with your axis rotation and angles points though. Sometimes thats all that it comes down too. In short, one brand doesn't matter. Having a mix of brands does

To be honest if they weren't stamped with the company logo and were all basic black, no league bowler could tell the difference. I bowl well when I hit my mark, regardless of the equipment. When I don't hit my mark, I suck.
I have to admit.. its a solid ball right out of the box.. but once I cleaned it... It hasn't been the same.. I've left a lot of back row pins with this ball.. Its consistent though.. It allows me to move left to right, a board at a time..
Don't get me wrong, the Invasion is a good ball. I've owned mine since it came out. I'm 15, am a right handed backup bowler, people say I am a tweener, and throw about 17-18 mph. When I first goth the ball it reacted great on our house shot. Now, when I throw it, it just dies half way through the hook and goes straight. Its gotten so bad that I had to switch back to my Virtual Energy. It's a really good ball, but it just soaks in the oil like crazy and dies out after about 30 games.
Unless my lanes are messed up, this ball has no hook for me. I was surprised that I have one of the strongest balls on the market and it plays so straight I don't understand what is going on. My average has actually dropped. Time to move on.

I'm currently looking at the Slingshot Red/Silver and it says 10 - 16
But the 10 and 11lbs. Doesnt have a core in the inside of the picture. Does it really doesnt have a cure because i'm 13 and the highest i can carry is a 13.. Its hard to carry a 13 but i can carry a 12 fine should i get a 12 or 11?
With 10 i can be sure of an easy curve but i don't know if it'll smash through with a high performance like it says. Can someone tell me wat is the best ball 4 me
Hey guys thanks for putting all these Videos up on many different balls. Can I ask how come on almost all the balls you guys through it seems like you use the same line? Am I wrong I am just getting back into this bowling game. All the balls you Demo have Diff cover stocks, Diff hook Potential ETC but seem to do the same thing when you guys bowl. Is it possible you guys can Demo Diff balls using the SAME lines so we can see the difference? Maybe include the Oil Pattern in your videos more often?
I was wondering Tony,Brian and I believe Jon I have seen you guys Demo a lot of balls but I notice even though they have Diff Features and Diff Hook Potential it seems you guys use the same line almost all the time therefor me just getting back into the bowling game cant really see the difference between the balls? @bowlingbeast300 oh, yea haha that was a while ago. it was funny cause i bowled that one dec 1st of 2007 and by the time they actually shot the video and everything i had already bowled another one april 12th 08. right now i have a total of 3, 2 in practice and averaging around 200-210. my form looks different too, i need to post some new videos but i have to figure out where the chord for my camera is to put it on utube

@bowlingbeast300 Invasion. The Invasion has a new core and coverstock , the R3X Solid Reactive and Origin core. This combo provides the ultimate 1-2 punch in hook and power to the pins. Also, for the sake of things, the R3X coverstock can be easily altered like its brother R2X in the Virtuals. The ROF is basically a Reign at 1000 grit Abralon with a dulled finish so it revs up earlier than the Reign.
Hope to be getting this ball soon! Hopefully the R3X cover won't die out as quickly as the R2X cover on my Virtual Gravity did.
As for the people talking about the Jigsaw Corner: I tried it. Didn't really see it as a great ball but it's a step up from the original. Good ball for some but not for me. Goes too long and not enough snap on the backs for my taste. Not saying I hate hammer because I have a cherry vibe and I love that ball.

well i think the invasion gets a little more hook than the rain, seeing that the invasion isnt polished like the rain. invasions help cut through rlly heavy oil

@peanut2700 It is going to depend on what you are using to clean the ball. As mentioned to InTheKrossFire, there is a specific method that Storm recommends to keep the ball reacting like new. Most reputable pro shops should know this method.

@WereHungryFilms It is going to depend on your style as to which will work best for you. Just because a ball is made to hook more does not necessarily mean it is going to work for you. Talk with their support staff and give them a bit of info about your game. I am sure that they will be able to assist you with finding the ball that would work well for you.

i prefer storm over hammer. i belive storm shoots my lines better and i also think hammer is good but its for powerhouse bowlers (outta control) in my opinion.

This is a downright awesome bowling ball. I was able to use mine today, but using a heavier ball (15lb>16lb) caused me to not bowl as well as I could have. Hope to put up some great scores with this ball once I get used to it.

i have a storm invasion and it has maybe 100 games on it if that and i throw it in a ball league right now with a low volume of oil it does not move much at all anyone know the reason for this?

@Badassrustler yea its probably just oil soaked. take it to a pro shop and ask them if they have a ball oven, if they do ask them if they can bake it for you. it will bring most of the oil out of the ball. it only costs around $15-$30 depending on the area where u live. hope that helps!

Hey im 15 years old, and i have revs on my ball, but not alot. I throw the ball with a speed of like 15 or 16 MPH. I currently throw the resurgence and i am averaging a 190 with it. Would you recommend this ball to me? Or what ball would you recommend?

I got my invasion a few months ago. Needs to be resurfaced but as my 2nd ball purchase and 1st serious ball purchase I love it. I break 200 all the time now with it and while it is a sponge for SURE if you take care of it it is definately an excellent ball.

Just got this on Saturday and I have to honestly say that this is the most aggressive ball I have ever thrown. It out hooks my next aggresive ball, the VE, by at least 8 boards! This ball just destroys on house patterns but I have yet to really test it on a sport pattern. So far I am in love with the ball! (and the smell too!)

@peanut2700 But the only thing I have noticed is that the ball tends to soak up a lot of oil and starts to lose its hook after about 7 games or so. Have to keep up with the cleaning of this ball so it doesn't turn into a 200 dollar dud.

This ball hooks a lot on a house pattern. I have to take a lot of hand out of the ball to keep it in the pocket.
With hand I need to play deep inside to out to get it to the pocket and then I need to make sure I don't push it out to far to keep it in check.

@the300man ok yes the ball is a sponge, but you will leave the 10 pin with all equipment it doesnt matter. and i beg to differ about the corner hooking more... i drilled 2 invasions and 2 corners with same layouts (pin up and pin down with similar pin lengths) and i had to stand a good 4 left with feet and 2 left with eyes with the invasions from the lines with the corners on a fresh ths... so if the corner hooks more than please explain why i had to be farther left with the invasion.

I barely even use storm myself, i dont like the way it rolls. But i do have a virtual gravity and i think its a fantastic ball. But seriously, whats the point of bashing other companies? Some people like that skid snap that storm generally has, and there stuff does hook a ton if you need it to! I personally use amf300/900 global cause they make smooth rolling equipment, but you never see me going around saying every other company blows dick!

@theprofessional90 I am a JBT bowler myself and I can tell you every player on the JBT doesn't throw just one brand. I have a mix of brands (2 Storms, a Columbia 300 ball and an Ebonite) because one brand is different from the other. So having more than one brand in your bag is a plus because it gives you a variety of looks. I do agree with your axis rotation and angles points though. Sometimes thats all that it comes down too. In short, one brand doesn't matter. Having a mix of brands does

To be honest if they weren't stamped with the company logo and were all basic black, no league bowler could tell the difference. I bowl well when I hit my mark, regardless of the equipment. Don't get me wrong, the Invasion is a good ball. I've owned mine since it came out. I'm 15, am a right handed backup bowler, people say I am a tweener, and throw about 17-18 mph. When I first goth the ball it reacted great on our house shot. Now, when I throw it, it just dies half way through the hook and goes straight. Its gotten so bad that I had to switch back to my Virtual Energy. It's a really good ball, but it just soaks in the oil like crazy and dies out after about 30 games.

I'm currently looking at the Slingshot Red/Silver and it says 10 - 16
But the 10 and 11lbs. Doesnt have a core in the inside of the picture. Does it really doesnt have a cure because i'm 13 and the highest i can carry is a 13.. Its hard to carry a 13 but i can carry a 12 fine should i get a 12 or 11?
With 10 i can be sure of an easy curve but i don't know if it'll smash through with a high performance like it says. Can someone tell me wat is the best ball 4 me

Hey guys thanks for putting all these Videos up on many different balls. Can I ask how come on almost all the balls you guys through it seems like you use the same line? Am I wrong I am just getting back into this bowling game. All the balls you Demo have Diff cover stocks, Diff hook Potential ETC but seem to do the same thing when you guys bowl. Is it possible you guys can Demo Diff balls using the SAME lines so we can see the difference? Maybe include the Oil Pattern in your videos more often?

@bowlingbeast300 oh, yea haha that was a while ago. it was funny cause i bowled that one dec 1st of 2007 and by the time they actually shot the video and everything i had already bowled another one april 12th 08. right now i have a total of 3, 2 in practice and averaging around 200-210. my form looks different too, i need to post some new videos but i have to figure out where the chord for my camera is to put it on utube

Also, for the sake of things, the R3X coverstock can be easily altered like its brother R2X in the Virtuals. The ROF is basically a Reign at 1000 grit Abralon with a dulled finish so it revs up earlier than the Reign.

Hope to be getting this ball soon! Hopefully the R3X cover won't die out as quickly as the R2X cover on my Virtual Gravity did.
As for the people talking about the Jigsaw Corner: I tried it. Didn't really see it as a great ball but it's a step up from the original. Good ball for some but not for me. Goes too long and not enough snap on the backs for my taste. Not saying I hate hammer because I have a cherry vibe and I love that ball.
