Treasures of Aht Urgan was simply the best expansion made for FFXI. Providing a huge ensemble of new missions quests notorious monsters and gear, not to mention one of the coolest Final Fantasy story lines ever. The areas and gear received probably the best graphical update possible while still serving PS2 users. This one gets my #1 vote!

Dark knight and paladin are completely different job types, hard to say which is better

In the end, I believe Paladin is more fun. In a group environment, you're the retard that soaks up all the damage so everyone else can fight without taking a hit.

However, outside of parties, the Paladin has much more solo potential than a Dark Knight, especially with Red Mage or Dancer subbed.

You also have access to the same weapon skills as Dark Knight, but will never be as strong offensively.

Paladins achieve a balance much more easier, though, which is necessary for playing alone.

technically if u look at it in a weird way. the two jobs are two faces of the same coin. one is for defence and aid while the other is for attack and taking away HP. if u look at it and u put these two jobs together u could make an impressive duo

PLD is one of the most overpowered jobs right now. So I'd say pld.

Drk (with a retardedly hard to get weapon) is still king of zerg tho.

They play totally different. PLD is a tank, and that's what you'll be doing all the time. DRK is a damage-dealer, meaning you won't tank, you'll just hit the mobs for tons of damage.

FFXI is more party/team-based action that focuses heavily on storytelling and dialogue. If you don't like to read, or just don't like being told a story, then WoW is for you.

You can go through WoW without reading a single freakin' thing.

WoW beats FFXI in the action and player-vs-player content, but it gets stale after a while.

Both games end up with you just fighting the same big bosses for item drops over and over and over again.

However, WoW provides a PvP endgame route which is dull.

It´s only an PC Online game , not for console. You can buy it for example at amazon.

Excuse me, you couldnt be any more wrong. This game is for PS2, and XBOX360 as well. It is very hard to find the old harddrive for ps2 nowadays so I woulr recommend 360 if you do not have a pc. Oh and ffxi is the 1st mmo that has the same world, for all systems. There all shared. I meet people who play on 360 all day long when im playing on my pc. Its weird too, there from all over asia. 360 world wide ftw lol.

I remember someone telling me on FFXI it could be downloaded, although I'm not completely sure since the file would be really big to download, but as the others said, PC or XBox360 is what people mainly use, a lot of people still play it, if you join, go for Remora Server, and I can help you out if you play.

The game of FFXI is a expanding world full of adventure and battle inside a massive online RPG and you create an alter ego and become the job you want. warrior,thief,whitemage,blackm­age,dragoon,dark knight,paladin,ranger,puppetma­ster,corsair,redmage,ninja,sam­urai,monk, ect. has a 30 day free trial. i reccomend picking it up and atleast trying it

Lol this is a trailer for Treasures of Aht Urghan, good expansion pack imo. Gave 3 new jobs, tons of new areas, assaults, salvage, and TOAU missions which I had beat on my character about 6 months before selling my account.
