  • No butter cookies this year. >_<

  • If you want I send you a truck full of Klementiner, in Brazil this fruit is very common in my home I have a tree of Klementiner. ...........Elsker Norsk

  • Ohhh Jesus....Klementine is Tangerina our Mixirica in Brazil ????

  • sounds like you celebrate Christmas by eating everything that can't be produced in Norway! we call that drink mulled wine, and the process mulling. especially good with apple juice! happy christmas from canada, where we have no traditions in common and instead get to search the world for fun things to do to celebrate.

  • What the fuck is a gløgg? :O

  • You are simply too cute!!

  • did u just fart stinky blonde

  • Is eating the cookie dough with the Clementine really a Norwegian thing ? Or is that just you guys lol.

  • hahahahahha, we have the tomte gløgg mix, and the pepperkaker!!! xD

  • ....And all this mixed together, thats christmas. :D

I need to get myself some gløgg

  • I love clementines

  • @Optunizer Du e dum du, greier ikkje å stave dum! stor skuff

  • NAmm

  • Hehehe... that was funny! Norwegian American here! Never been to Norway, but I am hoping to come in 2011. Alt for Norge!! Cuties... I hope to find one when I go over there!

  • i love norway!

i miss it soooo much! :(

  • I hate gløgg.

  • Those traditions they're showing isn't that usual up here in Finnmark I think... It's not that much gløgg and klementiner, at least not in my family. You didn't mention that we open our christmas presents on christmas eve and not boxer's day.

  • i've got one question for you.. this is embarrassing for me as a norwegian to watch.. skjønner ikke hvorfor jeg skriver det på engelsk engang.. men lol, fint at dere viser norske tradisjoner rundt til resten av verden da :)

  • im half Norwegian and half German, but im more proud of my Norwegian side :)

  • Did u take this traditions from Yule or did they solely develop in the modern era?

  • Paramore t-shirt = WIN! :D :D awesome vid btw.... :)

  • My family's German and we make something similar to gløgg, except we boil the mixture with rum and eat it with fruitcake.

  • i love pepperkaker i am half norwegen and i stay in sandjford i love it there

  • The glug reminds me of Gluwein in German and Germany....which is very good!! Gluwein is also a Christmas drink in Germany....well, minus the mix you put in it ;)

Another great video. I love watching you girls!

  • I miss Norway =(. I lived there nine months at a folk high school and got to know my Norwegian family over holidays, including Christmas.

  • hahahaha slightly tipsy hahaha

  • i hope you guys don't think of America as some better place because you guys already live there. Norway has the highest standard of living in the entire world.

  • I love ginger cookies but never had gløgg. What does it taste like? By the way, I love the ending. : P

  • @ModernVikingSaga Tastes weird. Quite spicy and at the same time sweet. Also, you are supposed to mix it with whine I believe, though that tastes like shit IMO.

  • @PoddaJawada

I had gløgg (the exact same bottle as the one she's holding in the video) and mixed with water it kinda tastes like coke or pepsi.

  • Oooh I love ginger cookies! Do Norwegians drink Egg Nog? My most favorite holiday drink ever!!

  • @Trance88 No it's not normal at all! I've never tasted it! :O

  • @Crienexzy You must try to find some it's Eggs-ellent!! :-P

  • @Trance88 Hi I`m From Norway . No Norwegian Peoples Dont Drink Egg Nog at Christmas

  • @Rikard97 You guys need to try it. It's delicious. In the United states, the kind in a bottle at the supermarket is really good.

  • @Trance88 no, ''gløgg'' is a norwegian drink, i mean it taste bad, but, many don't

  • @Trance88 no wi have no`t Egg Nog

  • @Trance88 The hell is egg nog? How do you even wanna drink that shit?

  • @megrune94 ggnog, or egg nog, is a sweetened dairy-based beverage traditionally made with milk and/or cream, sugar, beaten eggs (which gives it a frothy texture), and liquor. Brandy, rum, moonshine, or whisky is sometimes added; and the finished serving would be garnished with a sprinkling of ground cinnamon or nutmeg.

I drink both gløgg and tomtebrygg. And, of course, Løitens linje Aquavit.

  • @merlechmoose Tomtebrygg is enjoyable in small amounts I have to admit.. Løiten Akevitt (Aquavit) was kind of new to me though ^^ And I live 20 minutes away from Løten/Løiten xD

  • Believe it or not, these are some of the poorer quality women in Norway!

  • I love how in the bloopers you threw in your American girl accent with the "Oh my god" and "totally" & stuff. :D

  • the Klementine fruit you eat in Christmas, in Cyprus we eat it all winter long and some years and in autumm.....

  • :) smiley-faces from british columbia!

  • Ha i love your friend she is very cute xP

  • i have the same sliverwear

  • Mmm, I wish they sold those here >_> They only sell Clementines and Ginger cookies here ^^;

  • crazy!

  • We put black pepper instead of ginger in the pepperkaker. Very spicy and bold. Need lots of milk.

  • hahah morsomt ^_^

  • What's so christmas about clementines?

  • we have some tradiditions from kinder garden etc that makes it be nostalgic in christmas times

  • EVERYTHING

  • In Italy we have something very similar to nordic gløgg, called "vin brulé" (mulled wine). As the word says, we only use wine, mixed with sugar and spices (whatever you like), heat it a lot and drink. The heating lets the most of the alcohol evaporate, so it's definitely not strong. Someone even give it to children! Just some of course :)

  • haha thats awesome!! what is in that bottle you first show again?

  • thats gløgg! the concentrated form of it that we mix with water!

Sugar, and lots of spises to make a great taste :D

  • the first bottle is tomte gløgg like santas yummy drink kristNtheMoment

  • great

  • Will any red wine do for this? I've never mulled red wine, but I always get mulling spices that I never use whenever I buy mead. I'd like to try this after I finish my finals.

  • haha i loved it . sounds like fun.

  • Daym i got hungry, can i be ur guest :p

  • 2:40

    looks great !

    yummm !

  • I'll be celebrating Christmas in Norway this year!! I'm super excited!!

And I'm looking forward to eat something called pinnekjøtt.

  • oh wow :D Thatas awesome :D yes we have Pinnekjøtt during christmas aswell, its really salt, i love it! Maybe you will have kolrabistappe aswell? My favorite!

  • pinnekjøtt is fucking great dude

  • Did the vikings drink this? The only thing I am thinking about in my mind as I watch this is Vikings, Vodka and Gløgg.

  • you forgot brown cheese and cheeseslicers, hehe

  • What a big mix!!

  • Do you put Akevitt in your lug? In America my family put's it in. When we make it. Skål!

  • Like I have said before, you are intoxicating... You must be very proud of your heritage. I work here in Boston were I very rarely run into anyone from Norway, or even those with heritage. The only time that I did they seemed so ashamed and only wished to talk about America. It was sad. I have Norwegian ancestory, and most of my family that carried tradition has passed. I hope to see Norway someday soon as I am finished with my education in a few weeks. Thank you for your videos K!

  • why would anyone be ashamed to have norwegian hertiage? i can't even see why they would think that. what has norwegians ever done bad? lol well perhaps the vikings lol

  • but the Vikings were HARDCORE ^^

  • I'm an exchange student in Kristiansand from the US and I'm loving the holiday traditions here. Especially, risgrøt with the almond hidden inside with some julebrus! Very delicious!

PS- disregarding your shirt, you look a lot like Hayley Williams!! Ahh!

  • lol? thats one i've never heard before! thank you :D

and the Risgrøt is great :D

  • Flott! :)

  • When I was in grade 4, I had to do a report on Norway. I remember reading that Norwegians wore Christmas hats with candles on them and put candles on their Christmas tree. Is that true, or is my memory finally failing me at 33 years old? Oh, and I wanted to ask you if Norwegians really eat lefse, or just us Norwegian Americans. Lefse making is like a contest in our family. If you make bad lefse in my family, you are just not a good person....lol! But I bet they don't eat it in Norway anymore.

  • sure we eat lefse! Absolutely! In my family its my great grandmother who makes them! I sad to say that it might die out, since the old once are the once who know how to make it..

And candles on the hat, is on the 13th of desember. Lucia. Its pretty :D

Lights on out tree yes, (not real canldes, just electric). Dont you do that?

  • OK...for sure you have to make a video with candles on your hat! That does sound pretty, but scary. We use Christmas lights on our tree, but they aren't candle-like. My grandmother just passed away, so now I am the best lefse maker in the family! And I found out that our family still has a farm in Norway! Big one too, and I guess I am welcome to stay. It is in a place called Valdres. Is that super country????

  • Thank you for posting this vid. Do you actually have snow? Most times we haven't had snow at christmas here in Kiel.

  • We got snow again on the 1st of december! its all over :) I like it :D

  • 5/5 and God Jul

  • Æsj!

  • Weird! xD I want gingerbread cookies! Do you have fireworks on Christmas eve or something? In Uruguay we would spend christmas at the beach, cause it was plain summer! So cool!

  • We do not have fireworkd on chritmas no, never! Only on new years eve :)

  • OMG!!! how come you two are so cute?

  • norwegian blonds ;)

  • Sorry, Karin. I wanted to ask you. I've heard that Norway is very expensive. Could you tell me some prices in euro? I'd like to visit it, but I have no idea about prices in Norway. :(

  • yes very expensive i heard too. but i think 14 euro is minimum wage there?

  • well, I dont know acautlly. I work part time at a school and eearn 15 euro every hour.. But everything here is SOOOO expencieve so its not like its ALOT :P

  • @Lyarchik: I spend holidays this summer in Norway (look to my vids) and I can give you some prices: 1 loaf of bread + 1 pack of cheese and salami = 12,-Euro. A night in a cabin: southcoast 120,--, in the mountains 50,- Eur. 1 Ltr. Diesel 1,50. You are from Italia? The prices are as like as the prices in Italias tourists areas I think. For Germans Norway is a little bit more expensive. But it is a very beautiful country and the people there are very friendly (most of them can speak English).

  • It is expencieve for others yes..

    Mc donalnds meal: 10€

    Coke: 1,50€

    cinema: 12€

You cannot eat out.. cause that is really expencive, i suggest you live somewhere you can make your own food!

  • Clementines and cookie dough? Is that really good?

  • well, its just the mix of tastes :D Its awesome :D

  • @matt606 yes it is good

  • @matt606 Yup <3

  • jeg vil gjerne å spise det

  • thanks so much!

  • is every girl in Norway beautiful? sure seems that way.

  • agree !

    state of the babes !

    hahahaha

    nhf !

    hahaha

  • haha, i will film some of my friends and you can see? ^^

  • @dowder04 I really hope

  • Hmmm...I think I'll stick to mince pies :)

  • Oh wow, thats different. Lookes yummm.

  • "fat ass" HAHAHA!!!

  • haha yes :P

  • did your friend said to you a fat ass at the end lol

when you mixed it all togther its looks very delicious :D

    5*

  • yes :P She is joking :P

  • awesome! More norwegian lessons please!

  • funny it is crazy do you really mix it like that? my gosh:-D

  • What other way would you do it?
