@outlaw21ky No, Chris Stapleton is a full time songwriter and familyman now. However, The Steeldrivers have said that the new singer Gary isn't a "replacement" for Chris, he's simply their new singer and guitar player. This leads me to believe that at some point Chris will be back. But hey, if not they've got two great cd's with Chris as lead and a couple songs on the Get Low soundtrack. But hopefully he makes a return.

@MikeyLikesIt1870 Mikey I read the same thing somewhere about Gary not being a replacement for Chris and kinda thought the same thing about him maybe returning sometime. I can't remember where I read it at though. But, Chris is playing in a rock band called "The Jompson Brothers" right now. There are a few vids on youtube.I would also love to see a return of Chris to the Steeldrivers.

@RaymondB1971 I've seen those vids. I wonder how serious Chris is about that rock project. Maybe its just something he does every now and then while still taking time for the fam. I like "The Jompson Bro's", although Chris's voice has so much more power and feeling with acoustic backing.
