Man, the band sounded like they picked several different songs, each with a different tempo, and combined the most climactic parts of those songs to set these lyrics to. Very haphazard sounding.

These guys are a little bit melodic too, no? They're really great but I think I like firewind a little better in terms of "power" metal. My favorite melodic metal is probably Blood Stain Child, but these guys are still awesome!

Yes, they are such an amazing band! My favorite albums go in this order: 1) Far From The Madding Crowd; 2) Shadow Cabinet; 3) Within; 4) To Travel For Evermore. They are all great though. They are coming out with a new album soon to. It's called "Salt" and will be based around Pirates and the Sea.

Those albums all have 1-3 standout songs each, and that's it (from what I remember). Powerplant and majestic are far better.

This song proves why Erik Ravn is one of the best songwriters in the world. The way it builds up the mood and then explodes is just so perfectly executed. The chorus is also fantastic. Although the words "the road goes on and on" are repeated so many times, it never gets repetitive. I could listen to that chorus all day long.

It's also interesting that this song was written in 1992 and according to Erik, it didn't sound very different back then.
