  • a power metal vocalist trying to imitate Dio? nice :D

  • I like the part where he says the road goes on and on

  • I've been searching for the name of the band since 2006 (cuz i had an illegal version of it so I didn't know the name) this is the best day of my life :p can't tell how many times I've put the lyrics in the internet search and I finally found it :p

or i could just be incredibly stupid to not have found this earlier :p

  • need tabs srsly this song is fucking amazing

  • Personally I find this song so uplifting, it's one I can listen to anytime something's got me feeling a bit down, and it'll lift my spirits every time.

  • yearghghhgh rawwwwwrrrr gahhhhhhhhhhh wooooooo fahhhhhhooooooooooooo

  • WUTHERING HEIGHTS is the next big thing in music, enough for Dream Theater

I am saying this as a musical researcher, not only a metal fan, this is great, they inventive way of composing is unique

Since bands like SOAD are not there these days, the stupid media do not know the money they would make with such a band, even being capitalist as they are...

Stupid mtv, suck your little boys until your end

  • The verse is suspiciously similar to the swedish folksong ''Hvem kan segla forutan vind'' :-P

  • This is pure epicness

  • great song, the album is very good

  • way to pervert Tolkien . . .

  • Super Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Man, the band sounded like they picked several different songs, each with a different tempo, and combined the most climactic parts of those songs to set these lyrics to. Very haphazard sounding.

  • Best song ever! I love Wuthering Heights. They are fantastic.

  • Thanks for posting awesome music. Correction in the info-notes. Lead guitarist on the whole album is Henrik Flyman from Evil Masquerade not Martin Arendal

  • brutal!! buena banda exelente

  • oh...this is fucking awesome...fantastic song, never get tired of it!

  • the road goes ever on, the ROAD goes oooover on, the road goes eveeeeeeerrrrr ON !

  • What are the lyrics?

  • Why don't you hit the info button and read them for yourself?

  • how can i have a full text of this song?

  • The lyrics? Look in the info bar.

  • One of my favorite songs definitely. Love the art with it's colors. And the lyrics are fun to listen, I think that lyrics have some fun and clever play with words. :)

  • Blind Guardinish or is it the other way around?

  • They do take some influences from them!

  • they're good, but not good enough to kick BG's arse, b/c well, no one really can. Anyway-WH is one of the most unique metal bands around, i really like them

  • lol just shows how open minded BG fans are to give me a minus 6 - bgs good ill not deny this but its the unique sound ull want after 4 albums of em - well for me anyway.

lets just enjoy this here now and not discuss whos better

  • How come nobody knows these guys, I swear I have to look everywhere for these unknown bands, seems like I'm searching alone lol.

  • You're not alone my friend. I too am searching for a Power Metal band that can surpass this one. So far, no one can!

  • These guys are a little bit melodic too, no? They're really great but I think I like firewind a little better in terms of "power" metal. My favorite melodic metal is probably Blood Stain Child, but these guys are still awesome!

  • They are Melodic, but I would classify them as Power/Folk Metal. At least for this album...

    Power/Folk/Progressive for Shadow Cabinet.

  • True, but "Shadow Cabinet" aint no more progressive then "Far From The Madding Crowd" . Also -progressive- its not a good word about this band. Maybe -Extended, Power, Folk, Metal-... or -Wuthering Heights/Metal- I guess :]

  • well they sound like a mix of power prog and folk to me mmh but the most important thing is that it sound really awesome

  • this is indeed very nice - ddnt know them up to know, think ill buy a couple of their albums!

  • Yes, they are such an amazing band! My favorite albums go in this order: 1) Far From The Madding Crowd; 2) Shadow Cabinet; 3) Within; 4) To Travel For Evermore. They are all great though. They are coming out with a new album soon to. It's called "Salt" and will be based around Pirates and the Sea.

  • I love this song, it's just great. Amazing singer, and the music is killer. Also, great job on putting the lyrics up too. Thanks alot for uploading this. :D

Another song I loved by Wuthering Heights was Bad Hobbits Die Hard.

  • Thanks!

  • doesnt it sound like "as im shitting here" in the first line

  • That's because it says "Now as i'm sitting here".

  • yeah i know its just hilarious

  • Oh, I know!! I read your comment wrong. I thought you said "It doesn't sound like..."

Haha!! Thanks for the comment!! What do you think of the band?

  • i think theyre decent but they dont have enough really, really good songs. gamma ray is better

  • I only like one song from Gamma Ray. It's

"Into The Storm". Their other songs just are boring to me.

  • have you heard their whole discography

  • My cousin lent me Land Of The Free I, Somewhere Out In Space, and Land Of The Free II, but when I listened to the albums, I didn't know the songs had changed.

  • Those albums all have 1-3 standout songs each, and that's it (from what I remember). Powerplant and majestic are far better.

  • Ok, well from what I learned those were the 2 of the best cds, but I'll try the ones you mentioned.

  • did you like them

  • They were ok. I guess I'm just not a Gamma Ray fan, thanks for the recommendations though!

  • I need to agree whit 2 comment. 1- I think the singer sound like dio a bit :) and is really good. 2- All this album is rlyrrlyrly ggooooddd!

  • Yes, it is an amazing album with an amazing vocalist!

  • The album-cover is just as epic as the song.. And the song is pretty fuckin' epic!

  • Yeah they are amazing!

  • Great, heavy and moody! The singer even reminds me a bit of Dio!

Oh, did anyone else hear "Now as I'm shitting here, my life is passing by" at 0:43 ? :D

  • This lead singer is called "Dio's evil twin". Listen to his stuff from Astral Door's. Just like Dio.

  • Saw this band live in Denmark. The event was called Progpower festival and it rocked!!

As for wuthering heights they are incredibly great live aswell \../

  • Wow your so lucky!

  • one of the best songs ever!!! I fucking love his voice ;oP

  • This song proves why Erik Ravn is one of the best songwriters in the world. The way it builds up the mood and then explodes is just so perfectly executed. The chorus is also fantastic. Although the words "the road goes on and on" are repeated so many times, it never gets repetitive. I could listen to that chorus all day long.

It's also interesting that this song was written in 1992 and according to Erik, it didn't sound very different back then.

  • cool comment dude!

  • Me too, Me too

  • Love this song!
