What is the point of a guardrail? If a guardrail is going to break when a small vehicle hits it, why even have it there? Are you not in fact providing a false sense of security to drivers? This is a perfect example of how lax engineering standards in Canada contribute to a higher fatality rate / km driven than almost any developed country. The contractor responsible for building / maintaining that bridge should be liable.
