Ive been looking for this recording on youtube for a while. It was taken off a while back ago but thank goodness we have a REALLY GOOD rimsky korsakov back on youtube. Whoever this kid is he needs to add more recordings on youtube.
i am slightly confused, does it matter whether anyone plays any of the right notes on the cadenza, or is that just kinda ad lib.? this is an honest question, not trying to be ignorant.
i am also working on this concerto. Thankyou for posting given me an insitght to how it should go and and idea of how to imrove, best version on you tube sounds alot like Christian Lindberg you should be pround :D 5* from me ^__^
dont think youll get this good only in one year, myself im playing trombone for 11 years now. And i just got in this year at the concervatorium of Maastricht. Were practicing this piece now too, believe me, its a tough picle.
I've already practiced two hours (and played at a football game) today, but this makes me want to go and practice more. I wish I had his tone quality.
wow, very nice tone. I just got given this piece a few days ago.. had to sight-read it. Let's just say it was mediocre at best. Unlike this - top notch work! xD
Beautiful tone!! We are playing this song in my school's wind ensemble now, it is such a great piece: fun to play and fun to listen to. Excellent job here!
klingt für mich nach einer perfekten aufführung.das einzige was vielleicht zu bemängeln wäre ist die weiche artikulation.ein vortrag wird noch interessanter,wenn auch mal ein schönes staccato dabei ist,aber das ist geschmackssache-wirklich gut gespielt...da kann man neidisch werden!
Very nice performance, nice tone, good technically, 2nd and 3rd mvmt could have been a tiny bit slower, but it was okay. This is a great start, you could work to improve some details. Contrasts in dynamics is what I think first. Pianos were too loud, fortissimos were not loud enough. Also revise articulations, specially in 3rd movement at rehearsal marks M and O (you habe to make that part sound lively). One last thing, you could make more contrasts in tempos and dynamics in cadenza. - 4 stars!

yes it matters about the cadenza it isn't jazz improv..... but depending on the version u have the cadenza will be different
