You're welcome. I'm kayaking down the Wye tomorrow for my first time down to Symonds Yat. I'll be taking my onboars cameras so be sure to look at my channel for the vids. Respect to the rivers.
I will look out for that. Oddly enough, yesterday I filmed Ross-on-Wye to Symonds Yat for my local info website, 'Wyenot' (see link from my channel). I did it from a boat rather than a canoe, which was difficult. The water level is very low at the moment - the run took 7 hours because I had to get out and drag the boat over shallows. It will be easier in a canoe but be prepared for very low water. Enjoy!
Blimey! I thought 7 was long enough. I know how you feel though. It's a lovely journey - better when the water is fast as mostly you can just steer but at the moment, it's not flowing. Hope you recover soon. :)
My favourite piece of this compilation is the last sequence of Wilton bridge. Having seen it from all angle over the years I wondered if it was that same bridge, excellent.
Thank you for watching and for your comment Steve. I'm glad you enjoyed it. We will be experiencing more deep water like this over the coming month. It would be nice if you could come to see it.
Thank you Declan. Absolutely. This short film took about 5 full days/nights of filming if the time is added together plus a day of editing / swearing. It contains over 6,000 still frames plus video. Worth it though. :-)
Nicely done.

That last scene of the bridge was shot in September, with the river at summer levels, from by Wilton Castle.

Excellent!

Thank you! I made this as a more generic one to replace the last one, which covered covered just the summer deep waters.

Beautiful lighting, glorious blues and golds, particularly breath taking in the evening and night shots.
You are building a superb library here, with a rare gift for combining beauty and art with science and information. Really superb!

Really excellent film. It must take such along time to make from shooting to editing. Great job Alan.

Thanks Colin. That bit is interesting - the way it doesn't rise straight up - it varies on its way up.
