a rimjoist is a excellent fit in this application ,but again a35 should be used in the spaces rim to baseplate then a rim block placed on top of that end and face nailed then 3 a35min should be placed in on the connecting areas.

@dahistoryman That's a good idea as long as you have a choice. No matter what make sure you follow the building plans. If you don't follow the plans to the letter, you could be held liable for your actions.
