@Brendon00000 no they are not faster, maybe the lp560 is faster than the lp580, but the best they will do is maybe match the lp640 (only the lp560) the lp570 is another story and is possibly faster than the lp670 on a track, because of the lp670's gearing and its size.

The MR2 barely weighs a ton, whereas almost all modern Lamborghinis sit well north of 3,000 lbs. It's much easier to boost power than it is to lose weight, so naturally light RWDs like the MR2 and Miata are pretty formidable opponents for relatively heavy supercars.
@Lyrricane you are right, they are, mine does 0-60 in 5.6 secs, and my 300zx twin turbo with 668 bhp does it in 4.8, but you have got to admit, that lambo didn't take off well.
@Lyrricane japs are the real super cars, as you can play with them, just changing the exhaust and air box on a 300zx was over 80bhp gain, cost me £3200 to get 668bhp, with the car £5200, ill put that against a £200,000 supercar any day, mind you, i would love a ferrari, or a lambo over a jap anyday, but you mainly pay for the look. some supras out there on the road with 1000 bhp.

My Mr2 was a 2.0l twin turbo it pumped 250bhp and then i put loads of mods in and then is went up to 368 n then 400 n then 498 n at the moment its at 556bhp

minis - ferari enzos and not lost a single one i have spent more than 27 grand on the engine and 30 grand on the exterior and interior :D
Well i got mine low millage and plus its a jap car so its reliable 2 mod but my twin turbo hasent had a problem so far it depends how much u drive it n how much u take it 2 top speed thats y u have 2 replace the factory 1 with a hks or somthing
well my mates toyta spyder is doing now 120thousandish but hes going 2 slot a new engine he dosent know which one yet but it was running fine i would start 2 worrie if it went past 120thousand :)

I own a Rev 5 turbo (standard from the factory with 240bhp), one of those tuned up can keep up with a lambo no problem, but the new shape engines only put out 140bhp.
They;re slow as shit when standard, I heard a whine from a turbo that i think is coming from the MR2 so obviously he must have done some SERIOUS modifications, if not changed the engine completely

The MR2 barely weighs a ton, whereas almost all modern Lamborghinis sit well north of 3,000 lbs. It's much easier to boost power than it is to lose weight, so naturally light RWDs like the MR2 and Miata are pretty formidable opponents for relatively heavy supercars.

@Lyrricane you are right, they are, mine does 0-60 in 5.6 secs, and my 300zx twin turbo with 668 bhp does it in 4.8, but you have got to admit, that lambo didn't take off well.

@Lyrricane japs are the real super cars, as you can play with them, just changing the exhaust and air box on a 300zx was over 80bhp gain, cost me £3200 to get 668bhp, with the car £5200, ill put that against a £200,000 supercar any day, mind you, i would love a ferrari, or a lambo over a jap anyday, but you mainly pay for the look. some supras out there on the road with 1000 bhp.

same shit the 2nd and 3rd gen were almost exactly the same, only difference was some cam adjustments and a smaller turbo that made more boost, so really whose to say, unless u owned that car n popped ur hood id love to see what else he has under that bad boy, i wish my mr2 was running 10 second quarter miles

My mr2 is 559bhp now just with a few tweeks n thats faster than some super cars just because its expensive it dosent mean its faster :) also the top gear crew dont know about every car in the world and some cars arnt famous enuff u can email them

ive kept my exterior kit to a limit only got a back side front lip carbon fiber bonet carbonfiber door carbonfiber roof and boot and spoiler so that makes it very light but i spray painted over it so its all purple and ive installed purple neons and a roof scoop and a fit btl sound system
but when i street race u can hear my car from miles :)

its gud that u kept ur exterior mods in a limit, i take it that u keep ur interior fresh?? cuz There r stupid punks whose interior is lyk garbage n their engine's luk like they're 4m the 50s (messed up by fungus)...all they do is spend tons n tons of money on the exterior only to make it luk "super-hot" is wht they call it, i call it "piece of shit", (those cars never luk gud) n on muffler tip to make it sound like its "Something Awesome" which is bullshit...

@ali24680 and the engine is a rx7 egine i had 2 go threw alot of money and problems to fit it in :D but i think now its around 500 - 580 bhp i need to take it for a dyno. it should bee 580 about 600 but its 2 much power it pops ure ear drums its very very very loud i dont think it road legal enymore i need 2 check the decible LOL

n if u pump n mod up a 2JZ-GTE, u'll get more than 650bhp without a doubt!! i know a guy here who has da 98 model supra, his one produce 685bhp!! SO freakin awesome...

My Mr2 was a 2.0l twin turbo it pumped 250bhp and then i put loads of mods in and then is went up to 368 n then 400 n then 498 n at the moment its at 556bhp
ive had races with alot of people form
minis - ferari enzos and not lost a single one i have spent more than 27 grand on the engine and 30 grand on the exterior and interior :D

Well i got mine low millage and plus its a jap car so its reliable 2 mod but my twin turbo hasent had a problem so far it depends how much u drive it n how much u take it 2 top speed thats y u have 2 replace the factory 1 with a hks or somthing

well my mates toyta spyder is doing now 120thousandish but hes going 2 slot a new engine he dosent know which one yet but it was running fine i would start 2 worrie if it went past 120thousand :)

absolute shite. The driver in the MR2 must have literally changed the engine, the standard engines are piss weak.
I own a Rev 5 turbo (standard from the factory with 240bhp), one of those tuned up can keep up with a lambo no problem, but the new shape engines only put out 140bhp.
They;re slow as shit when standard, I heard a whine from a turbo that i think is coming from the MR2 so obviously he must have done some SERIOUS modifications, if not changed the engine completely

my guess it is a 3SGTE from the previous generation MR2.
