WORD! Arnel is a fine sub for the BITCh called Perry! I'd love to see Perry LIVE and hear an album from him...he's great! Still, I LOVE this NEW JOURNEY. Perry can go pound sand...the band has moved on and so have I!
All these guys did well singing for Journey. No, they are not Steve Perry, but they were still entertaining. The biggest difference was that Steve was singing in his register. The others were at the top of theirs. Puts a lot of strain on their voices.
I was shocked that Jeff Scott Soto was in Journey in 2007, but he wasnt suppose to be their new singer, he just finished the tour with Journey when he was asked by Neil

@abanks917 I saw them live. September 27, 2009 at the Shoreline in Mountain View, CA. It's funny, I'm not a pro Perry fan because I love Augeri's voice too, as well as Gregg's, but I just never liked Pineda's voice. I can't explain why.
I would like to slap these guys across the face for employing an "exact" clone of Perry .... what do they want to do? Piss on their old friend's face?? Should have kept Soto. At least that would have been credible and just.

This is Journey's future, and if you don't like it, you can buy the old CDs.
Unfortuantly, Journey are only playing in Britain once this year, and that's at a music festival, so they wouldn't have long anway. Also that date has already past. Hope I have a chance in 2010.
Can't even tell the difference. Damn, you clones have good hearing to be able to distinguish. They both sound excellent.

Pineda sounds a lot better live. It sounds like they recorded this in one take. The production isn't very good.
