other way round, the game was first then it got an anime adaptation, and the game is on the PC and PS2, there is a translation patch out for the PC version made by mirror moon, there is also a sequal called hollo extera but there isnt a full translation patch out for it yet
well its kinda hard to say, its a Visual novel so if your going in a looking for action in it your gonna be very disappointed (although most of the fight scenes are quite epic) however the story is great, the music is great...and the less said about the H scenes the better >.>. If your curious look for videos of it on you tube.
