@PDExplorer193 No, they're made of Lexan, and are extremely tough. They don't play anything like a normal wood stick, though, so I wouldn't suggest using them for extended periods of time.
How ARE your firestix holding up?? I bought some for my brother, but he's kinda' wondering if he needs to be careful with them...ie..not striking the drum frame...etc???
I don't use them very often (almost never, actually), but they're made of polycarbonate and should be nearly indestructible. I certainly don't worry about striking the rim with them.
Wicked novelty sticks I'm going to have to get me some.. Bet they feel like crap to play with as opposed to your regular choice of stick - It'll save me having to paint my sticks in on videos too :)
i have a cover of moves like jagger using these sticks if anyone want to check it out

I can play drums with my eyes closed, not joking, and i've only been playing for 5 months
So its much harder

@joaoa13portugal I said it was weird, not hard. Playing with the lights off is a different sensation than playing with your eyes closed.

@agate456 I know, it might be weird :D
Do the Firestix light your hole drum while your playing??
Or do they only light a few inches around them?
