@dcastine---Dad ordered it also with HP special suspension in it. We lived in Kansas City at the time, and would take trips to visit his mom and step dad in Tallahasse, Fl. We traveled at night, and while my mom and I slept in the car, (like we really could) dad told me he cruised down the hiway at about 120 mph....so he said. If I remember right, the speedometer went up to 140 mph...he had to get rid of it, because it began to give him some problems "because I didn't run it hard enough"

My dad bought one of these, (ordered it from the factory) in 1967, in a convertible. I was 7. I remember that car well.

I'm not sure of the cam specs, I was told by the engine builder it was a Mopar Purple cam - sold the car a year ago. Thanks

Nice sound! I had a 1970 440 mag rt worked..Are you sure this is the purple shaft cam? It sounds hotter than that cam..? that cam (purple shaft ) had 241 deg at .050 on a 108 deg cl

Do you remember which cam this was? other than a purple shaft. I am about ready to get the new cam for my new motor. This one sounds great. I know the 509 is more than I want for my carb set up though
