Thanks Sonick! I sold the car about a year ago, I have the Gold 340 Duster now - see that vid, car is crazy clean. I have first crack at buying my old GTX back from the guy that owns it now - so you never know! Take care! Dave
@dcastine---Dad ordered it also with HP special suspension in it. We lived in Kansas City at the time, and would take trips to visit his mom and step dad in Tallahasse, Fl. We traveled at night, and while my mom and I slept in the car, (like we really could) dad told me he cruised down the hiway at about 120 mph....so he said. If I remember right, the speedometer went up to 140 mph...he had to get rid of it, because it began to give him some problems "because I didn't run it hard enough"
@Thestanman77 - You are a year younger than I am, these are incredible cars, tough to drive being so powerful with so few options, but FUN! I wonder where your Dad's car is now?
Nice sound! I had a 1970 440 mag rt worked..Are you sure this is the purple shaft cam? It sounds hotter than that cam..? that cam (purple shaft ) had 241 deg at .050 on a 108 deg cl
Thanks for the compliments, wish I still had the car - your Dad sold his when it was only three years old! Wow, to have owned one of these when they were new - how cool is that?
Do you remember which cam this was? other than a purple shaft. I am about ready to get the new cam for my new motor. This one sounds great. I know the 509 is more than I want for my carb set up though
You have a VERY NICE new MOPAR there!!! Crazy fast huh???

My dad bought one of these, (ordered it from the factory) in 1967, in a convertible. I was 7. I remember that car well.

"Wanna race?" Revs a little and, "didn't think so."
As it slowly rumbles into the sunset without having to prove a damn thing. Class.
