  • I was driving to work 2 days ago and the car just speed up on its own and stay at high RPM luckily; I was able to stop the car by pushing really hard on the brakes.???

OMG you are so full of shit.. This only happens at a COLD START..This WONT happen when you are driving down the hwy. I seen your temp gauge and it was dead cold!! Go and get your IAC cleaned..Maybe if you kept up with services and seen your local mechanic you would know what is the problem.

    Many are like you!!

  • @FordsFail You need to watch his part 2 video when the idle starts to fluctuate wildly. The problem is real. It's a failure in the electronic throttle body. I know this because I have the same experience with an '03 Solara. The car will accelerate on its own, and I had to put it in Neutral to avoid an accident. All maintenances are done, and there are no floormat in this car. I replaced the TB and now it's fine, but I kept the old unit as evidence. google "toyota throttle body failure".

  • Even consumer reports lists toyota's as the most problem cars in 2010-2011, there is no way in hell that I would ever trust my family's safety to a toyota after what they did and the way toyota lied to save profits while people died.

  • Its a cold engine..... And its an older model Sienna... Seriously?

  • Get your idle checked. Not a big deal.

Don't get paranoid just get informed....

  • whats your car ??
