You can slow it down at first if you want. Speeds go from 60% to 100% in 5% increments. These were all at 100%. If you having been playing normal, plastic guitar Rock Band for more than a year, like I have, you will be pretty comfortable with moving your hands in response to note indicators moving down a screen. I think this will be a great teaching method for Rock Band players, but could be tricky for people with little Rock Band background.
Thanks for your comment! I think that is the pick hitting the string. There is a mute bar that prevents the strings from vibrating during gameplay and it makes the strings quite tight and percussive sounding. I also may be picking too hard. I warped a medium gauge pick within a couple hours of gameplay and moved on to a heavier pick. Finally, the body of the guitar was close to the camcorder, which may have exagerrated the sound.
