  • amazing !!! I have no words...

Greetings from Greece to the Kurdish people that is strugling to survive and to be recognized.Victory is with the brave!

    Kisses to our Armenian brothers!

  • Long live Armenian-Kurdish people

  • This is the National Philharmonic Orchestra of London, not the one from Armenia

  • Thank you for uploading this beautiful piece , I once heard it when I was very young but never forgot about it . I hoped to hear it again someday.

    Wonderful

  • is it about kurds really???

  • @unknown198523 ahaha this is a part from Aram Kachaturian's Gayne ballet.

  • @xoxowicked

Why is it named "dance of kurds"?

  • @unknown198523 This is a part of the ballet's story.. it also has the Russian dance, Lezghinka, Dance of the old man, Lullaby, Dance of the rose girls etcetc.

  • @unknown198523 Because you see original Kurds dance like that you haven'y seen in your life...so the name is dances pf kurds...Have a good time dear...jzpatelut...

  • @unknown198523

    because,uploaded by fools!..

  • @aydinsesigur Like it or not this is the way to say it in the United States (you can read in the covers of the recordings) I'm from México and the influence is terrible. I agree that the correct form is Gayaneh and I add this name in the finding words. I think that what really matters is the wonderfull music of the ballet.

  • @unknown198523 I have heard this masterpiece thousand times, but I didn't know it's called "kurdish dance", i am not surprised, though; because there are also Russian, Georgian influenced pieces too in this wonderful ballet. What I'm surprised of is that the ballet is called "Gayane" not "Gayne". I think it's a mistake.

  • Very nice!

  • Yikes... are they late for the train or something? This is the fastest I've heard this performed. However, the energy is great.

About this not getting performed in the west frequently: I always thought this was one of the war-horses that gets trotted out quite frequently. (along with the sabre dance)

  • A wonderful ear he had--grand music, and too little heard in the West. (Watch the film "Hudsucker Proxy" to hear AK's music in a most unlikely setting!). Splendid recording, too.
