"he maintains the balance in nature".... how do you figure?
More butterflies because of draught conditions. Drought conditions make more thistles. Butterflies live on thistles. I don't see the imprint of god here.
We don't have "faith" in evolution. It makes sense. We believe it is the best possible explanation given the evidence. The fact that we don't know how something works does not act as evidence for Intelligent Design or Creationism - it simply means we have not figured it out yet. And even this isn't something completely unexplained. Behavior patterns and instincts are regularly shown to be hereditary.
You make a valid point. However, I can say the same thing about creationism. I believe it is the best possible explanation given the evidence. Let me ask: Are you willing to follow the evidence no matter where it leads? If so, why do evolutionists insist that the obvious design in nature is only the "appearance" of design? They say that because they won't even consider God as a possible explanation. So they don't follow the evidence wherever it leads ... especially when it leads to God.
If there was actual convincing evidence for creationism or God, I think most scientists would be intrigued and fascinated. Unfortunately, the strongest arguments don't point to God, just to a lack of understanding. If we actually managed to find a way to communicate with, or found physical evidence of, God (or evidence that an intelligence could exist without a physical form), then that would be evidence. Evolution is not an Atheist theory, it is completely unrelated to the belief in a God.
When they say that organisms have the "appearance" of design they don't mean it literally. There is no GOD STAMP. The forms are very different but similarities can be found. Religion should focus more on Abiogenesis, not Evolution because they will never win against Evolution. Many scientists are religious by the way, so it's not that they are intentionally trying to stay away from God. It's just that currently the evidence points MORE to Evolution than any current alternative theories.
Makes you wonder how anyone can keep faith in evolution when something as "simple" as a butterfly can journey thousands of miles with no one to show the way...on a breeze! Even some people I know would get lost!
same way your follow road signs friend. its same in the animal world, ant communicate chemically, I'm sure butterflies have their ways. Though I'm not debunking a creator, I just wouldn't throw ideas out for something that simple.
Yes indeed God is a God of order and beauty, programming even the smallest of creatures with advanced navigational methods. Sin has corrupted the order and beauty and puts blinders in the eyes of atheist evolutionists so that they persist in denial of their own Maker. But God also made a way of reconciliation. He's called Jesus Christ, who took the judgement for your sin.
