  • it is not notebook where your gonna work on your website but by traveling or something it it a pretty nice notebook

  • @sjorshendriks haha why not? one of my friends had a MSI Wind for 2 years and he made websides for companys and such, and the MSI Wind was hes only computer.

Btw. i got an Asus eee with 16gb and Linux Ubuntu and is god damn fast ill never move back to windows !

  • pft i got my 120gig hdd acer with xp for cheaper!

  • who cares if its small... probarly some people do :S

  • its not 4200. the HDD is 3600. and its why everex is slow here

  • if you said utilizing one more time..i might just die.

  • Everex has got to be one of the worst companies. I learned the hard way with the XT5000.

  • i saw a similar one running xp for about $200

  • OMG, windows xp sucks.

  • Is this compatible with Sony Vegas?

  • are those runing mac os 10/?

  • the EEEpc is the cloudbook is running gOS and I beleve thats gOS version 1 gOS is a linux distro from google

  • YOUR IGNORANT-

Pulling up a webpage has jack to do with what type of hard drive you have, real good benchmark test, you are obviously an qualified engineer.

You don't know jack about computers, stop reviewing hardware.

  • sorry, but it's you're :)

  • You don't even seem qualified to written an understandable sentence, let alone comment on a how a computer works.

  • Umm.... yeah. Where do you think the browser program loads from? Hard drive, maybe? He wasn't going between web pages. He was starting the browser programs. Programs that are stored on a hard drive. Next time, think before you type.

  • hey dose it have a CD drive and can it play World Of Warcraft (the CloudBook)

  • why does he has some sort of usb receivers on the eeepc?

  • Wireless mouse?

  • the everex laptop looks the same as the salvania g book

  • Asus Eee PC is better than Everex because it uses SSHD, the other one uses a HDD or whatever it is.

Plus, the Asus Eee PC cost less than other notebooks like the Mac PCs/MacBooks, Windows, and Everex. For the Asus Eee PC, you can run any OS you want, but some of these PCs don't have an internal DVD-ROM, which external devices are needed to play games on the sweet and light weight laptop, and are the best at computer retailers, even though they have an Intel(R) Processor, it's still a gr8 buy

  • new cloud books you ssdd

  • so small:) everex! I WaNT ONE!

  • how much is one?

  • everex sux damn green people

  • are they running os x?

  • Gos (google it) its pretty much a linux os for crap pcs

  • ah right... looks cool though :P

  • yeah, its pretty good but like i said it is geared towoards low end pcs, i can't even get the disk to boot for some reason on my recetish computers (like 4-5 years old on my older one)

  • Ah right, well ive downloaded the disc and im going to test it out on my mac mini and might do a video review if its good

  • oh nice, can you do a video review of how fast handbrake runs on your mac mini? Been thinking about getting one for a little while now, but I'd like to compare the speed to my current pc especially in handbrake.

Oh yeah, sorry Handbrake is a really good dvd ripping program, but it doesn't rip most copy protected dvds without extra software running in the background.

    Thanks if ya do

Oh and Im going to sub you 2, just thought id tell ya

  • Everex totally sucks.

  • can the cloudbook run frostwire or limewire?

  • Nice start up comparison but getting to the dest top is only half the story..I have both, the E-pc is faster but there is no way I could use it everyday with the 4gb. The Cloudbook with XP is a average laptop start on up speed, and I have lots of room on the drive. My E-pc is supersonic start up, but with XP "AND" all the darn updates there is less then a half a gb left on the drive.I like both but if all I need is e-mail I take my E-pc but if I want anything else I take the Cloudbook.

  • Excelent!! Thanks for the comparision. Because my next gadget it is going to be a Eee

  • your nuts

  • aahh cloudbook's hole beneth the screen looks terrible

  • Ouch. The Cloudbook looks so slow it's painful...

  • The VIA Isaiah processor can reverse that, the Atom doesn't give extra performance compared to the Isaiah which is 2x faster.

  • i love how EVERYBODY pronounces Asus differently I personally pronounce it like "Ayyy Suhs"

  • A-SUS, 'ey Zeus, Je-sus... whatsoever :) I prefer "Eh-sus"

  • Bah! The Clownbook is a joke. Firefox would have loaded even faster on the EEE if it had been running Windows XP or the default OS.

  • love this....makes me love my asus eee more...no buyers remorse...thanks for the wonderful side by side

  • Hey! What OS is that you're running on that eeePC?!!!?!! That Leopard background looks familiar! Whatever linux variant it is, it looks way better than that tabbed crap it comes bundled with. Thanks again for posting these.

  • gOS, basically UBUNTU with Enlightenment 17 and Google apps.

  • The version of gOS on the Cloudbook uses GNOME instead of Enlightenment DR17. The E17 version of gOS is basically dead. If you want the E17 version, download the gOS Ultimate Edition. I remastered the gOS Ultimate Edition so that people who like the E17 version of gOS can have a fully functional version (including support for MP3 and DVD playback).

  • ASUS eee al the way. Either this (350 Euro), or the 2000 Euro Sony Vaio :) But never the Everex CloudBook.

  • replace the HDD with 16GB CF and add more RAM. And ubuntu. Then, I'd take a cloudbook
