  • The polar bear wasn't feeling it either

  • The elephants were like STFU!

  • @ididete ВЫ ПРАВЫ НА 100 %

Yes, at the end we are all lonely. We can only make the journey to the spiritual world alone. Maybe you don't understand things like this. But you understand it when your time is also coming. What you need to learn is humility. That is more important than passing judgment on another human being. For me, hence the discussion is closed.

Are you God that you justice this woman?

  • What is the name of the piece at 3:10 ?

  • @SVG4ever

The singer tells you at 3.27

  • Glenn Gould is the ultimate spaz when it comes to JS Bach + Beethoven. This guy is a joke! I've heard better by amateurs!

For some reason everyone thinks he's kool, playing pieces messily as fast as he can with no expression or grace.

  • A very informative documentary, which I much enjoyed, despite the fact that I think the title "the MADNESS of genius" is rather rude, unfair, and just plain misleading for the content of the documentary. Yeah, Gould was troubled, but "mad" has very dark connotations; and moreover I think the focus of this documentary is Glenn's secret life, especially love life. Something like "The secret life of GG" would have been more fitting. But in all, I found the doc. to be respectful and sincere.

  • As a concert music composer, I've worked with a lot of virtuosos - all I can say is that the number of genius musicians I've worked with who are completely sane, likable, and reasonable people far outweigh those who have serious personality disorders. And also many many people of no creative bent whatsoever who are nuts!

  • There is genius in madness and madness in genius.

  • Thank you.

  • Hello ... what's the piece being played at the beginning?

  • @KLINGSOR11 Prokofiev Piano Sonata no. 7 in B-flat (the Stalingrad) movement 1 "Allegro Inqueito". Fantastic piece!

  • great, touching.

  • Could someone tell me the name of the piece right before the end credit? (which is his own "So you want to write a fugue?")

  • @juemon

The last music is the closing part of Goulds transcription of Richard Wagners "Siegfried Idyll".

  • This guy was a good boy I would have love to have him as my Alumnus - nevermind he plays my music toooooooo quickly - also auf Deutch und klar - mein lieber Glenn you got into that strange habit of thinking that I was in a hurry or what when composing and so my scores must be played at least 30 percent faster than I wanted to - why??? Not unlike Mr Koppman - na gut Ihr JSB Cantor zu Leipzig

  • Thank you very much for your posting.....He is unique...

  • So touching...

  • Glenn Gould the greatest pianist and bach player ever

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I am in tears. :')

I think people can really relate to him, in the sense that there is always a fraction of ourselves teetering on the very edge of everything. The edge of sanity, the edge of emotion, the edge of brilliance. And we all want to give in and satisfy that part of ourselves struggling to grip on, yet the majority of us don't dare for one reason or another.

  • @VamLoveAndKisses
