The boat unloading at Bruichladdich is a class known as a "puffer". I guess the cargo they once carried (coal, building and general supplies etc) comes in articulated trucks on the regular ferry.
Thanks again Ian! Some very interesting views, several I guess we will never see again in that form: The cargo ships unloading at Bruichladdich Pier I guess are gone forever. The ferry terminal in Port Ellen is almost unrecognisable (and might be gone completely soon with the upcoming reconstruction of the site) now. Most of the fishing is gone with dwindling fish stocks as well. At least this video will remind us of it.
Milk delivery... by horse. That's fresh! Just having your dairy products delivered to your door reminds me of growing up.
