The CA Constitution finds it irrelevant whether the people have spoken because the Constitution is designed to PROTECT civil rights, not take them away. The rights of a minority are never supposed to be voted on by the majority. That's why prop 8 backers changed the constitution. They wanted room for bigotry and discrimination in our state. It's hateful that people would do such a thing. Fortunately, it'll get overturned since it's completely unethical.
