What are you talking about? If the game is tied at the end of 4 quarters, they go into OT, even if it is in the superbowl, itsimply has happened yet, hence why the NFL doesn't seem to care about changing the rules

The better team should win anyways, because the better team should prevent a team from scoring. Maybe they should get rid of the coin flip at the beginning of the game too, because I believe there is a stat that says that the team that scores on their opening drive has a higher win-rate then those teams that begin trailing 7 - 0.

Besides football games are long enough without some gimmick ending. But I apologize for my "douche" statement, I didn't realize u were such a tortured soul.

What if the NFL kept the current overtime format, however a FG should no longer apply to "sudden-death". So if TEAM-A wins the toss and gets the ball, they could score a TD to win. But if TEAM-A only gets a FG, they would then kick-off back to TEAM-B.

If TEAM-B now scores a TD, they win. If TEAM-B kicks a FG to tie, they kick-off again to TEAM-A. If TEAM-B were to fail to convert on 4th down; turn the ball over; cough up a safety; or miss a tying FG attempt... they would lose instantly.

Maybe do some research first. The team that wins the toss wins %52, pretty much the same odds of winning the coin toss, so the variance cancels each other out.
