well asturian & galician aren't exactly a celtic tounge but a roman one instead but some of the words or the way they might talk can be mistaken for one from the celtic branch but spanish, portuguese aside from being roman languages were heavily influenced by the celts too(compare spanish to gaelic). anyhow the celtic tounge might extinct in these two places but theyre still celtic nations at least in my book they are

Very true. I have being doing research on Spain. Known as "Celtiberia".....pretty "Celtic" to me...lol ! The Castilian was heavily influenced by the ancient tongue of the Celtiberians before the Romans arrived in Iberia,Hispania. This ancient tongue was Celtic but you are right Castilian and Gaelic sound similar in annunciation, pretty interesting. Amazing history of Spain......you can see this Celtic in Spanish music.....

The Celts were originally from the Austrian Alps & migrated to many places in western Europe; northern Spain was one of those places. No, they weren't all killed off. You can still hear it very much in their music especially & see it in their dances. It was fascist Franco who wanted to kill off all the other ethnic identities in Spain, that's a Nationalist idea. It's a Nationalist idea that everyone must march in goose-step to the same imposed music. Celebrate the differences.

This group imitate other european folk music in the rythm, becouse they like it, but the lirics are asturian. "Celts" were a lot of tribes without ethnic identity. Celtiberic people were too different tribes with different ethnic born, and YES they were killed or bought as slaves. Spanish people are indigenous but to much roman, gothic, arabian, north-african bereber, jude(sefardí). I celebrate differences but I don´t mistake and confuse ethnic and culture, like you do.

I recommend a little more study in modern history....Franco was a descendant of the Portuguese, and he did NOT exterminate all the the ethnic identities. He forbid the galician language to be taught in many schools and banned basque language, but it takes much more than that to annihilate 3 thousand years of culture.

There are HUGE differences from Euskadi to Andalucia which is not the same as Galicia, which differs from Catalunya.....
