  • there is a dipshit in my gym who feels like he needs to give me advice on everything... because i am polite, i listen to him.  his advice, NEVER EVER workout WITHOUT a belt, he says if you workout without a belt, you will fuck your shit up irreversibly bad. next piece of ridiculous advice, NEVER EVER do front squats, you will fuck your knees up irreversibly!

  • Use a belt when lifting heavy. It's that simple. Do stomach vacuum exercises to actually strengthen your core support.

    The belt is an extremely important part of my lifting (only in squat and deadlift). it should be used at 70-80% 1rm.

But when you start getting up to like 80% your max, tnen you should start pulling/squatting with a belt.   • Here is some better advice. Only use a belt on your top sets. You shouldn't need a belt for anything other than squats and deadlifts, maybe bent-over rows if your back is torched from a heavy deadlift session. Remember that a belt is a tool to help you get stronger, therefore wearing it throughout the workout would negate this goal. -Cheers
