im sory that the people you've came across have made you percieve blacks as looking for a hand-out. But what I can truely say is that you will never know unless you've put your foot in another person's shoes. While ive been racially taunted and mistreated, I have an will always treat everyone the same no matter what ONE person has done. BUt with having said that IM NOT GOING TO BE QUIET ABOUT THE DISCRIMINATION THAT I FACE. You can be a ghost with your voice, but i choose otherwise

Perhaps there is no "Being White in America" because "White America" is not in a state of emergency and never has been. He is not blaming the past for blacks present situation, but we cannot be blind and not see that black current situation does have something to do with their past. This type of discussion requires a lot of thought. So, please do not speak on such a sensitive subject with a lack of thought.

For the record, it is very difficult being Black in America!

Where is "Being white in America"? Where every race blames you for everything that your skin color has done wrong since the begginning of time. Sorry for what other white folk I never knew did to people you never knew 50yrs ago. Im not them that did such things and your not them that it was done to. SO LETS MOVE ON!

i think that this can be a good thing, but why just stop at our sisters and brothers. I feel that there is an increased prejudice against asian,SPANISH,Jewish, and arab americans(since 9/11). I feel as though we are not covering the full spectrum, because there can be on doubt that everyone that have crossed Europeans in the past have suffered because of it. But we also can't ignore the suffering of their dessendents that had nothing to do with it. Also don't ignore racist among all groupsof ppl
