I'm tired of this. Soon I will delete all material from my channel, cancel my gmail account, get rid of all references to Google Youtbe and Facebook. Then I will make my own site, host it, and FUCK YOU NAZI PIGS! When my contract for internet service runs out I will even leave the internet altogether. Why pay these fuckers to abuse me??????? Over 4,000 videos on my site. Copy them and put them on disk for future reference and to send in dvd to friends. I will not play their game. Will you?

Unfortunately, they are going backwards, while I charge forward. At the end of the day, your power lies in which choices you make, and you can choose to use Youtube and support it by doing so, or you can choose to use something else, but please - use a little common sense, and don't find reasons to complain just because it's not just how you like it.
I'm not sure what you hope to acheive by a boycott. You'll all be back on youtube from the 20th of Feb even if you do stick to it. Surely there are smarter ways to get your point across - perhaps using another video site, such as Vimeo?
Remember, somebody had the idea to start youtube - it was executed and an enormous amount of money has gone into building it into what it is. Youtube is not a community site, it's a community driven site. We have no rights here, we're using it cos we want to.
The new layout is a pain in the ass beyond anything. The original layout was perfect, everything is all on one page. The new layout has it so that you have to click a function to see videos, then click another function to view and post comments. Too much damn clicking.

I've seen this all happen, I've had people admit to me of many sock accounts, I've had partners admit to me of socks inflating their numbers, I've had people with socks, as well admit to their only purpose being to inflate numbers on specific partners, some go nowhere else. Socks or Sock accounts or perhaps-empty accounts (but not limited to empty) used for inflation purposes and/or other specific purposes. Some can have 5, 10, 100, 1000+ channels
@luc59457 I have a couple of other accounts but they more or less just sit there. I opened my original in 2006. I uploaded some videos on it and just check on it every few days. This channel is the only one I've been doing anything with lately and mostly I've been focused on the YouTube protests and boycotts. I wish they would just let us keep our channels the way we want them so we could all get back to having some fun on here again.

They have even dropped processes on my computer, simply by being on youtube and doing nothing. Dwwin(dot)exe 42 percent dangerous and a run32dll(dot)exe, these processes did not load under normal conditions.I removed them.However, afterwards, my video editing software would close down for no reason, while converting a video, until a restart of the computer and the removal of those files, fixed the problem. Those files were dropped on my computer and opened by Google/Youtube.
They are even messing around right now, making my inbox comments temporarily disappear, they did it to all my inbox personal messages as well. Making them all disappear for 5 minutes, then come back to normal. Why would they break something that was never broken?
@luc59457 YouTube is having trouble all the way around. They have their set of rules that we are supposed to abide by when uploading yet they don't enforce them if they think they can make money off the videos. I have flagged animal abuse and porn on here and nothing is done about it. It makes me sick!

Google is even being criticized for its fake support against Sopa, when Newt Admitted that Hollywood is a big supporter of SOPA, and Google supports hollywood content quite well and above others on here, very often. Google want to make believe that they are on our side, but they are deceptive. They even had changed all my videos to 42 years old at one point and then set it back to normal 5-10 minutes later. they wanted to mess around. Nobody can change the age of my vids all at once
@dswa2286 We are protesting the changes YouTube is making to our channels. As you probably know, they have already taken our friends away. They will take away our layouts and replace them with the new layouts that are merely lists of videos leaving our channels lacking their individuality, personality, and creativity. YouTube was successful because of us but they have no respect for us and want to turn YouTube into videos made by professionals, much like television.

@KalonaTheRavenStorm I have done volunteer work in a wild bird rescue facility. I always loved the ravens. I have a video on here of one making some very interesting noises. LOL They are awesome birds. What's interesting is that we did not used to have ravens around where I live and now over the past two or three years they have come. I opened a Zippcast account using my same user name. It's a great site. Right now they are having growing pains but they are working on it.
well i forgot to mention this but Kalona mean's raven in cherokee. i'm a halfbreed. i come from ani-waya(wolfclan) which way back was once ani-kalona(ravenclan) raven clan learned the ways of the wolves to create an honor code. even though ravens have an honor code, still the spirituality of the wolf sustained our loyalty. also i know whom is responsible for this google take over though i can't say openly but let's just say it requires ghostdance again. well some form if it anyways.

@Kelly14UK I'll tell you what I'm thinking of doing. After they change our layouts I'm probably going to make all my videos private except for my protest videos. Then I might make my channel unavailable. That way I will still be able to watch my favorite videos and my own videos will be saved. In the meantime, I have opened my account on Zippcast which is really growing. People are uploading a lot of videos. The site has only been up for a couple of weeks. It has great potential.

@roundtheblock1 YES! I do think there should be hands of all colors in that picture. That is the one thing I didn't like about it. But the ones I saw with other colors of hands were lowered down, not raised in strength and victory. That's why I picked this one. ;)
I really like this video, I have added it to my Favorites list, and I will feature it off-and-on, especially at designated boycott dates. Youtube is going to end up being like Netflix, I believe. I'm resigned to the new changes though, there is nothing I believe we can do about it, but I don't like it one bit. But for me, Youtube is the only game in town. I've been to other sites, and they just don't have the ease of use that Youtube does, although the user friendliness has been drastically cut down now. They Blocked my Channels and many people deleted themselves from You Tube.
Soon there will be nobody here to support the Panda and they will have no money coming. @Susanna129 I would do the same thing Susanna. I looked at your other channel and it is really nice too! They both are. ;) For myself I am just thinking of making my channel unavailable but using it to 'store' my uploaded videos because you never know when a hard drive might have a fatal crash and all would be lost. So this provides a little safety net of sorts. Then I will probably upload some of my videos again on a different video upload site. We each have different circumstances.
@Susanna129 Of course there's more females on youtube.. But they make it so, only the guys go to certain areas and the women to others (for the most part) Sex segregation. But they are also blocking comments from being seen from the other by triggers that often over-censor comments. So guys rarely see what women have to say, and vice versa on here. It's one big disconnect! If they do, it's a couple comments and the person is gone from existence.

So I don't think youtube will be ok, because there's much more than the beta interface that they are being criticized for. They are being criticized in almost every direction. They have messed up way too much and I don't think they care that people know. The only time they really start caring is when their affiliates wake up.

@Susanna129 Yes, and when you look at the 'to' line in the reply you want to send, instead of a username it has their number! And that is the person's number because every time you try to reply to the same person, that some number comes up in place of their name.
The quickest way to get this message to as many people as possible is to allow your video to be mirrored and spread by others because so many people are just getting new uploads only from the channels they sub.

I'm from that internet where no one cared what it worked like, just as long as it worked; sometimes text-only. Why do people get so upset over these picture arrangements? I don't get why people feel their creativity is threatened considering there are hundreds of sites out there, hell if the idea is for the perfect layout a new site is in order...

My reason being that I see this makes the position against SOPA seem juvenile at best. What with the other platform of the day being "Fix the layout strike!". Occupy movement had this problem.
I will not take this "strike" seriously because it is not really that important. There have been several changes over the years and people always gotta complain about it. Tying this with anti-SOPA and painting Google as a villain is curious at the least.
@SuperBrobot Well that's where you're mistaken. This is not at all against SOPA. It's against the hypocrisy of Google/YouTube for being against SOPA on the grounds that it limits freedom then they turn around and limit our freedom by taking choices away from our channels. I'm against SOPA too! And while this fight might not be important to you, the world doesn't revolve just around you and there are lots of us who it is important to.

This site has changed a lot since 2006, we have never had a say in it because the site not owned by us. It is owned by them. Sure it's our content but it's still their site, who's to say they can't decide what to do with it? The government?

@SuperBrobot Well like you said and your channel reflects, you think the new layout is good so I wouldn't expect you to understand or join in on this boycott. But are you that complacent about things that are important to you? Do you just sit back and do as you're told? I don't. And no matter how it turns out, at least I'll know that I tried. YouTube is our host and it is their site, but without us, they are nothing. They are making millions of dollars off our uploads.

Great video, and great job of informing us! Yes, I support Google and all the others against SOPA. However, we've given our feedback repeatedly that we want changes to the new layout, yet they're silent. If we don't continue to make our voices heard, they won't make any changes because it'll cost them money. It doesn't matter that this vid has ads on it - it's easily disabled on boycott days and we need to get this message out! Great job!

I'm tired of this. Soon I will delete all material from my channel, cancel my gmail account, get rid of all references to Google Youtbe and Facebook. Then I will make my own site, host it, and FUCK YOU NAZI PIGS! When my contract for internet service runs out I will even leave the internet altogether. Why pay these fuckers to abuse me??????? Over 4,000 videos on my site. Copy them and put them on disk for future reference and to send in dvd to friends. I will not play their game. Will you?

Unfortunately, they are going backwards, while I charge forward. I'm not sure what you hope to acheive by a boycott. You'll all be back on youtube from the 20th of Feb even if you do stick to it. Surely there are smarter ways to get your point across - perhaps using another video site, such as Vimeo?
Remember, somebody had the idea to start youtube - it was executed and an enormous amount of money has gone into building it into what it is. Youtube is not a community site, it's a community driven site. We have no rights here, we're using it cos we want to.

The new layout is a pain in the ass beyond anything. The original layout was perfect, everything is all on one page. The new layout has it so that you have to click a function to see videos, then click another function to view and post comments. Too much damn clicking.

I've seen this all happen, I've had people admit to me of many sock accounts, I've had partners admit to me of socks inflating their numbers, I've had people with socks, as well admit to their only purpose being to inflate numbers on specific partners, some go nowhere else. Socks or Sock accounts or perhaps-empty accounts (but not limited to empty) used for inflation purposes and/or other specific purposes. Some can have 5, 10, 100, 1000+ channels

This channel is the only one I've been doing anything with lately and mostly I've been focused on the YouTube protests and boycotts. They have even dropped processes on my computer, simply by being on youtube and doing nothing. Dwwin(dot)exe 42 percent dangerous and a run32dll(dot)exe, these processes did not load under normal conditions.I removed them.However, afterwards, my video editing software would close down for no reason, while converting a video, until a restart of the computer and the removal of those files, fixed the problem. Those files were dropped on my computer and opened by Google/Youtube.

Google is even being criticized for its fake support against Sopa, when Newt Admitted that Hollywood is a big supporter of SOPA, and Google supports hollywood content quite well and above others on here, very often. Google want to make believe that they are on our side, but they are deceptive. They even had changed all my videos to 42 years old at one point and then set it back to normal 5-10 minutes later. they wanted to mess around. Nobody can change the age of my vids all at once

@dswa2286 We are protesting the changes YouTube is making to our channels. As you probably know, they have already taken our friends away. They will take away our layouts and replace them with the new layouts that are merely lists of videos leaving our channels lacking their individuality, personality, and creativity. YouTube was successful because of us but they have no respect for us and want to turn YouTube into videos made by professionals, much like television.

@KalonaTheRavenStorm I have done volunteer work in a wild bird rescue facility. I always loved the ravens. I have a video on here of one making some very interesting noises. LOL They are awesome birds. What's interesting is that we did not used to have ravens around where I live and now over the past two or three years they have come. I opened a Zippcast account using my same user name. It's a great site. Right now they are having growing pains but they are working on it.

well i forgot to mention this but Kalona mean's raven in cherokee. i'm a halfbreed. i come from ani-waya(wolfclan) which way back was once ani-kalona(ravenclan) raven clan learned the ways of the wolves to create an honor code. even though ravens have an honor code, still the spirituality of the wolf sustained our loyalty. also i know whom is responsible for this google take over though i can't say openly but let's just say it requires ghostdance again. well some form if it anyways.

Then I might make my channel unavailable. That way I will still be able to watch my favorite videos and my own videos will be saved. In the meantime, I have opened my account on Zippcast which is really growing. People are uploading a lot of videos. The site has only been up for a couple of weeks. It has great potential.

Youtube is going to end up being like Netflix, I believe. I'm resigned to the new changes though, there is nothing I believe we can do about it, but I don't like it one bit. But for me, Youtube is the only game in town. I've been to other sites, and they just don't have the ease of use that Youtube does, although the user friendliness has been drastically cut down now. It's just a shame. Great video, btw. Jan Walsh sent me this video. :)

They both are. ;) For myself I am just thinking of making my channel unavailable but using it to 'store' my uploaded videos because you never know when a hard drive might have a fatal crash and all would be lost. So this provides a little safety net of sorts. Then I will probably upload some of my videos again on a different video upload site. We each have different circumstances.

@Susanna129 Of course there's more females on youtube.. But they make it so, only the guys go to certain areas and the women to others (for the most part) Sex segregation. But they are also blocking comments from being seen from the other by triggers that often over-censor comments. So guys rarely see what women have to say, and vice versa on here. It's one big disconnect! If they do, it's a couple comments and the person is gone from existence.

So I don't think youtube will be ok, because there's much more than the beta interface that they are being criticized for. They are being criticized in almost every direction. @Susanna129 Yes, and when you look at the 'to' line in the reply you want to send, instead of a username it has their number! And that is the person's number because every time you try to reply to the same person, that some number comes up in place of their name.

The quickest way to get this message to as many people as possible is to allow your video to be mirrored and spread by others because so many people are just getting new uploads only from the channels they sub.

I'm from that internet where no one cared what it worked like, just as long as it worked; sometimes text-only. Why do people get so upset over these picture arrangements? I don't get why people feel their creativity is threatened considering there are hundreds of sites out there, hell if the idea is for the perfect layout a new site is in order...

And what difference does it make that in the past we only had Commodore 64 computers and DOS? We are way passed those days and things should be getting better, not worse. Why don't you just sell your car and walk everywhere since that's how they used to do it?

My reason being that I see this makes the position against SOPA seem juvenile at best. What with the other platform of the day being "Fix the layout strike!". Occupy movement had this problem.
I will not take this "strike" seriously because it is not really that important. There have been several changes over the years and people always gotta complain about it. Tying this with anti-SOPA and painting Google as a villain is curious at the least.

@SuperBrobot Well that's where you're mistaken. This is not at all against SOPA. It's against the hypocrisy of Google/YouTube for being against SOPA on the grounds that it limits freedom then they turn around and limit our freedom by taking choices away from our channels. I'm against SOPA too! And while this fight might not be important to you, the world doesn't revolve just around you and there are lots of us who it is important to.

This site has changed a lot since 2006, we have never had a say in it because the site not owned by us. It is owned by them. Sure it's our content but it's still their site, who's to say they can't decide what to do with it? The government?
This movement has the potential to go the wrong direction just like SOPA.

But are you that complacent about things that are important to you? Do you just sit back and do as you're told? I don't. And no matter how it turns out, at least I'll know that I tried. YouTube is our host and it is their site, but without us, they are nothing. They are making millions of dollars off our uploads.

Great video, and great job of informing us! Yes, I support Google and all the others against SOPA. However, we've given our feedback repeatedly that we want changes to the new layout, yet they're silent. If we don't continue to make our voices heard, they won't make any changes because it'll cost them money. It doesn't matter that this vid has ads on it - it's easily disabled on boycott days and we need to get this message out! Great job!

@misslantana52 Please, you misunderstand my English, 2 times I am told "get a life" by people using the new layout, they have no personality or details on their gray channel, yet they said it to me, I WANT TO KEEP the old layout and the communications - plese see my home page and y ou will see that.
