That looks awesome, but i would prefer the body to be a kamov KA 50 or KA52. They actually use counter rotating blades. but still an awesome body

Thanks...all the info on the body kit and the light can be found in the "more info" section after the title of this clip on this page. And yes...the light is controlled remotely with the 5th channel knob on the stock CX2 controller.

Nice looking body for the chopper...ever think about removing the useless tail rotor and just say its a new prototype attack chopper...? Seems like you definatly need a new battery to boost the run time.

Thats an awesome body. very nice flying, very steady. I would suggest covering the light on the inside of the body with something so that it doesnt come through the cockpit\body.

Yeah it is amazing what a body change can do to the flight characteristics. Although you pay a price for it flying that steady in your flight time goes down to a solid 5 minutes.

The apache comes as a kit yuo have to assemble and paint. If you like building like I do it can be alot of fun.

Hi i bought a Blade CX2 yesterday and today on my 8th flight i was landing on the small end of the blade cx2 box and i slid off the back of it and slammed into the ground and when i put it back out in the middle of the room and went to take off it make a weird noise and the bottom blade wasnt turning very fast and the heli was spinning counter-clockeise very quickly and it would not take off, does anyone know how i could fix this problem? Thanks.

I think you need to check your gear and see if you stripped it or the retaining collar is loose at the bottom of the gear this happen to me i hope this helps.

That thing is rock steady ! Is it the extra weight of the body that adds stability or better electronics (gyro etc) or good thumbs or all of the above?

this is a great heli yeah if you crash it man it's a hell of a problem to get new parts for it it's a great heli though your's is cool! (i wish i knew how to add that stuff on their) good job!

You don't have one do you,

If you did you would know that putting on the body is one of the easiest things to do.

If you had one, you would know that you have to take off the front body section to change the battery. (or at least change it how the Instructions say to)

Well...I would say if you like to assemble these types of kits....by all means I would purchase it. I like to build..tinker...paint...work with things to get them to fit and look right...so I enjoyed this. Other option is you can pay a few extra dollars to have Mike (the guy who sells these kits) build one complete the way you want it and then have it sent to you? Good luck.

did u trim it good or is it te body that makes it so stable, my CX2 always turns to the right and i dont think trimming will do any good still trying to trim but imma bring it to the shop.

You know...to be honest....it is both. It was pretty well trimmed before I put the Apache on there...but the body makes it extremely stable as well.

Using the aphache fuselage, do you find that it affect the flight time of the heli?

Definately...the extra weight of the body coupled with the additional cross sectional area that creates extra drag from the wash of the blades does take time off your flights. I usually got a good solid 5 minutes before I would have to power down.

In regards to the lights, were they a direct plug in to the 4 in 1 on the CX2? Do you control them with the 5th channel control knob?

Yes...they are direct plug in to the 5th channel..and you turn them off and on by simply rotating the 5th channel knob. You can get them at Dimensionengineering dot com and they are called "Easy lights"...$15 I think?
