I'll admit when you stopped to think about how many ppl had worn that uniform before you, your stomach turned a little! But I loved those uniforms, and I loved the fact that this show was made around our uniforms! Ya'll haven't seen anything till u see the BOA Atlanta performances!! The BOA judges liked this show too! Bc it was AWESOME! we got 1st in our class and 2nd overall. It was great senior year!!
Seriously ... How did Lafayette not win state this year?!?!?!?
I LOVE THIS SHOW! This really "feels" like a Lafayette show to me. 'Sheba,' on the other hand, does not. Can anyone explain why there were such stylistic differences between these two shows ... only one season apart?
PS: I would also love to see 'Images of Rome' again. And, 'Parisian Venues.' In fact, someone should just post them all!!! :-)
I am lost for words on how it was that Dunbar beat Lafayette this year. I can understand a few of the other years, but this was a GREAT show...arguably one of the best in history. I was at State Finals and at both performances I figured Lafayette would have it.....I was so shocked when the judges (or should i say judge) thought otherwise.
Well no, I would have to take it down and re upload it, its just a few long notes, im really sorry. And about Images of Rome, I might upload it sometime.
Wow, Murray State. It was still off topic and a little dumb. Yes, they beat us in '05, but that really had nothing to do with what VettesRock was saying.
Well the band did a fundraiser bingo thing, well they gave the clallers fee credits, and something about it being against there IRS standing, or some crap. Well now we are being fined $50,000, we are fighting it, but looks like we will have to pay. Henry Clay was fined more I believe.
as if what...? those unis look like something from the 80s...i cant believe it took so long for a program as rich as lafayette to update em...but ya ur new ones are like the best in kentucky. i love that shade of blue
see the thing is all like critics and stuff think this was the most underated show theyve seen and the theme was lafayette cause after this we underwent a HUGE change and it worked out for us cause we won state the next year this year on the other hand was just a rough year with injuries and a crappy freshman year at the start this year just sucked but this was like i said just cause we were undergoing a change the next year
I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed with the Lafayette's show that year. I also thought it was kinda funny that Lafayette's theme was Lafayette.
i really think that we have nothing to worry about drum line wise. we have some of the best instructors in the country and they will get them into shpae even if they arent good. it will be fine
Hey!! Im on nthe drumline at LHS!! Actually...we always say we are gonna suck te next year..but somehow..it helps makes want to practice and get better so we dont!!! The drumline has nothing to worry about next year..there are plenty of talent there and who knows what the incoming freshman will bring to the table!!!!
Yeah, but they got the solos because they were GOOD. Being juniors doesn't matter.
And yeah, next year will be (hopefully) better, because there is a nice junior class. I have heard, though, that the drumline is worried about next year because of their skill level, and, well, if the drumline sucks, the rest of the band won't really matter. But I don't really know the skill level of the juniors in the battery, so I can't say if that's true or not. It's just what I heard from one of the cymbals.
dont forget grant county! that kinda goes along with the drum major thing. but those 4 out of 5 soloists are some of the best players and leaders. they are the reason why it will be a good year next year.
mia is the fifth but travis and mia were just short verrry short solos. it was a bad year this year mainly leadership and all around bad luck. next year will be good we have a great junior class this year! so maybe a harder show will work
Cause we haven't been at that level of ability. They have to talkor the shows to the players, and considering we lost state with a ridiculously easy show, can you imagine us trying to pull of this show, or sheba, again this year?

not necessarily.
pld won 4 captions
lhs had 2 captions
even if that one judge had placed you in 2nd, LHS would have still finished 2nd...but the scores would be within a point.

i love how they debuted the new uniforms in this show.

Hey, I put Ballet Russes up, but I took down Bring on the Night due to lack of views.
VettesRock 3 years ago
Any way you can fix the ending to the Ballet Russe show?
Also, you don't by any chance have Images of Rome...their 1998 show? That was a GREAT show!

Nobody likes the IRS...
It should go find a building to lock itself in and then burn down.

I wish Lafayette wasn't involved with this whole IRS thing. Because of it I'm gonna have a crappy senior year. : (

The new ones rule,. they are better, but the old ones were not ugly, they are great.
VettesRock 3 years ago
They aren't rich, also the school would not allow them to get new ones. That uniform style has been used since the school was started in the 1930's.

btw those r some ugly ass uniforms. ur new ones are a million times better
