John Layfield is actually a nice guy. The JBL character of course was a douchebag, I even hated him on TV. But as I got a little older I grew to appreciate him.

This happened, but not quite as dramatically as it was described. JBL had been drinking and was hazing Joey. Joey got in a good shot and cut open his eye before other guys broke it up. Had it played out till the end, who knows what would have happened. In the end, a little guy stood up to a bully and got in a good shot, teaching him a good lesson. JBL's WWE career was finished right then and there.

Seriously, it's not true. JBL was picking on Styles throughout the entire tour. Styles got feed up and finally told JBL to fuck off. JBL pushed Styles, and had to be held back by some of the other wrestlers. This is when Styles attacked, when JBL was being restrained. Dave Meltzer has confirmed this story, and I'll take his word over any internet smarks.

I heard that Syles is actually bigger than people think, and is not 5'9 but rather 6'1 or possibly even 6'2. Never seen him in person so I can't confirm it but it's what I've heard. He's not as small as people think

Would've loved to see this. Actually Heard Bobby Lashley and Kristal when they were with WWE in town for Smackdown, and the host played word association with them. When the host said JBL, they both responded "Bully". Liked what Paul E said at One Night Stand: JBL--you wanna shoot, cowboy?
