My ex used to cry like this over very similar films to the ones Hollie cries over- (anything to do with animals, little kids losing their parents and whatnot! Usual, run-of-the-mill girl stuff!) But my ex also used to sob over 'Thomas the bleedin' Tank-Engine', for Christ's sake! I mean, Jesus! Come one! :/

Some movies are to be considered art pieces. Because I think that art is generated when you let emotions flow through the matter you forge, whatever it is. You can sense that in this movie, like many others.

When you look at an art piece like this and cry, you demonstrate you have understood its meaning. This lady is just taking her part in the artist's magic and should be regarded for her intenseness.

I can empathise with your wife on Back To The Future 3. I cried so many times when watching that film. I just love all the effort they put in to get marty back home and at the end when Marty thinks he won't see Doc again but comes back with the picture of both of them next to the clock tower.
