@ellarocio I know. :-( I guess it's possible, though, that Kermit meant he didn't need it for this particular lecture. He might have wanted to save it for another lecture, or maybe a project. I think Kermit just hates Cookie Monster's destructive tendencies in general. But I imagine his outburst made Cookie Monster not only sad, but confused!

Funny how times change. When I was a child and watched this skit, I wasnt damaged when Kermit called Cookie Monster a dumb, stupid, rotten monster. It didnt really phase the kids or parents. Today, God forbid any of these monsters or characters on SS say something that isn't 100% politically correct. Why are people so afraid now a days?! That is one of the reasons our country is soooo f-ed up now. Woot for vintage SS!!!

Awesome!!!, I thought I would never see this one. My kids love it. Do you also have from that series the 'watch the dance' clip that featured a calypso jamaican band in a tropical setting that played awesome steel drums and a wooden paddle puppet dancing around.

I know man, even then it had some of the same elements of comedy as the Muppet Show. Now, it is FAR too namby-pamby for child at age ages 2-5. Far too much focus on Elmo and Abby Cadabby. Big Bird isn't even the main character anymore. Given the case of the unfortunate situation, he should also be a recurring character in the Muppet Show franchise (if they should ever get another series). He has too much persona to have his screen time significantly reduced.

And NO, I DON'T watch the show.
