wait. wouldn't it always be the same? because the pistion will start in the same position when the level starts unless a switch was attached

Given the fact that every motor bolt and piston has a set speed and such, when you enter the level, they will all start at the same point and eventualy will make a re-occouring pattern. However, depending on the speed and complexity of the 'randomizer', the pattern could be a few seconds to many minutes even hours.

The ONLY random factor in the game is the player's possition, so i would reccomend using a proxy switch in different places to adjust the speed on bolts etc.

I watched this video and saw where the costume from so I went and aced it here some tips on acing it 1.on beginning part when it stop move 2. when it goes up again go onto other side (if this doesn't work stay where you are can't remember which one) 3.Repeat this until on 4 brains are gone 4.Stay on right side when going up then as soon as you can hit the closet brain on the final boss 5.If you do step four right then beat the tank thingy's he throw out then go to the middle knock out the mid...

@coolgoalie1 *middle brains then hit the right tank thingy he throw out (closest to last brain) then wait to the right of that brain when other tank thingy gets there destroy it (or other way around for tank thingy's just make sure your to the right of the last brain when you finish them) then right after you do that hit the tank thingy the minute it comes up propelling you up into the first of a second set of two brains then destroy the last tank thingy and get right underneath the last brain..

before it starts again then once it starts just jump up destroy the first part of the monster then next destroy the two bottom brains then run all the way to the right wait for the first electric set to be done then stay there until the box thing comes down then run up to it and put it in front of the boss then jump on it then jump at the brains if you have enough time then once the middle brains opens up destroy it and if you didn't managed to catch the other two in time just move back and f..

err sry but it is impossible to make a randomiser it will only make a patern i can garente that the number will be the same each time if you reset it

meh... I already know this and knew it from beginning... lots of people commented the same thing on here. The randomizer as any programming language rand() or whatever will always have a pattern just more complex you make it will make it more random, and not repeat the pattern imo. This was built just for those interested in making levels that's not always the same like for mini-game levels to compete against other players or puzzles within a level to make it more fun every play.

solo play "Little Big Colosseum" and just jump down to the goal takes about 20 seconds to do. Also can copy the level to see how it works.

check out little big Colosseum video on my channel, shows the finished version of this randomizer, this one here was still prototype and runs on same pattern, the other one applies user input to add more randomness to the function.

Still has a pattern over time, but harder you make the random the longer it takes for the pattern to repeat. :)

this auto randomizer isn't 100% true randomizer it will have a pattern, as like any randomizer there is always a pattern but the more complex you make it the more random it will be.

If you look at my vid on Little Big Colosseum you can see the auto-randomizer in action or actually try the level solo and see it yourself. In my case I had the randomizer start its function only when players touched the START panel, until then it will keep the cog spinning making every gameplay different/random.

in lbp official site forums NeerGnag explains how he did his. Another idea might work if you can get the player tracking/following device from my level 'day to night example' to go with the spotlight it should work i think. Mine is using NeerGnag's idea but using pistons.

ya the spring would definitely add more randomness + closer to true random. i just didn't like the looks of it so went with this one lol + I just used the ideas on how some coding languages create random functions :)

it makes random instances... most games you play have random instances for different effects... RPG would be battle encounters, what monster you fight... Puzzle game like tetris, what block to bring next?... racing game, which computer has what stats every time you play... stuff like that...

if you're talking about the flat one, its from Acing the last level. Other costumes is all just custom made... with stickers
