Fuck yes i found it out how to get all full bars now, Follow all these steps.

1. Go to control Panel

2. Look for the Windows firewall

3. Click the fire and and press change settings.

4. Look at the tab where it says Exception and check off the Limewire and boot back the Limewire and download.

5. Turn the Fire wall back on again

this might work for some ppl, it did for me but go to firewall exceptions and either add lime wire or look to see if it is checked of in exceptions

Well...

Check to make sure Limewire is aloud in your Firewall Exceptions, if that doesn't work then either your anti virus program is blocking it or you have a faulty Limewire.

Genius.. dude .. major props.. I was fighting with my computer for hours... you rock .. i tried everything, turning off my firewalls.. uninstalling AVG... nothing worked for me although you might want to put a video out on how to display folders that are hidden in Vista.. not everyone can get to that folder without enabling hidden folder.. over all Dope and really Useful video. Hours? For me limewire didn't work for atleast 2 months.

No one on YouTube had a video that shows them fixing Limewire the way it was fixed in this video, but someone did show how to get to the "Manage Quarantined Items" and what was in the folder, without him I probably would have never found this out.

The only suggestion I can think of is making sure Limewire is in the exceptions on your firewall. Sorry for not having a good solution, I'll try finding some other ways. ;)

Thanks, let me tell you what I did. I checked my computer, I only have a free trial of Norton, but it does nothing to my system. I have windows firewall and defender and everything is correct(the box is checked off for exceptions) and I even tried it by turning off the preferences for firewall. Nothing works. The thing that sucks is that I paid for limewire pro and I am not getting anything in return.

First, make sure your firewall is either turned off or is not blocking limewire. If you have Norton Anti virus, do as I did in this vid...

Open up your firewall and go toe exceptions then make sure Limewire is in the list and its box is ticked.

As long as it's norton, try it. I'm sure all norton anti virus's have the same options, just that if it's different to mine you'll probably need to find out where the options are if they're not located where mine are.

I'm not sure when it comes to macafee, just make sure Limewire is in your Exceptions for your windows firewall. And if there all green, it should search fine. I've never witnessed it saying "connection in progress" before, so I can't help you that much. Just make sure your firewall isn't blocking it.

Hmm. Making sure you Norton has allowed you to use Limewire, go to control panel and open up your Windows Firewall. Now either turn off your firewall or leave it on, try both, but before you do any of this go to Exceptions and "Add program" and put Limewire on the list. Make sure it's ticked if it is already on there. This should work.
