  • For those of you saying that the DS isn't as well made as gameboys were. Close your DS, and throw it at a brick wall. I guarantee it'll still work

  • @louie000007 its not bull shit, the only reason it works is cause they replaced the melted screen with a new one.

  • FUNNY JUNK!!!

  • the world trade center should be made out of game boys so it wont get bombed again

  • define incredible...

  • what lcd screen they use on those?? they survive a bomb!!

  • MADE OF NINTENDIUM!

  • @Bolt892 hahaha I like that, man!

  • Game

    -best title ever

  • @NamoNakamura Game

    -We all lost

  • :D Rob the Robot 0:57

  • and yeah, the plastic screen was left "undamaged" BULLSHIT!

  • just goes to show stuff was built to last back in the day.

  • and to think my xbox rrod'd within an hour of buying it. then the replacement rrod'd after 4 hours of use.

  • That Gameboy is on display at the Nintendo World Store in NYC.

  • Game boys are designed to be able to withstand young children. The bomb didn't have a chance at it.

  • my ds isnt even like that i cant remember what hjappend to my gamboy

  • Damn. Anyone know the backstory on this?

  • @CERNOBE

Soldier was playing with his Game Boy while on patrol. The sound of Tetris gave away his position. Enemy attacked.

  • They should start making weapons out of Nintendium, it's indestructable. Too bad they don't still make their handhelds out of it.

  • It's made of Nintendium, nigga! You can't destroy it!

  • Um ok now Im not a hater towards Nintendo because I have every Gameboy model of the Gameboy series. Now obviously this Gameboy did not survive any bombing. It may have been uncovered from a bombing I dont know, but there is no way that that would still work. The screen looks new and everything. I bet they took the Torched Gameboy shell and inserted a newer Gameboy where the once working Gameboy was. No way a Gameboy survive a fire let alone a Damn bomb.

  • @abcpat100 You've clearly never owned an original Gameboy, and can still play on it to this day. Even though it's been through hell and back.

  • @abcpat100 It's a chance, but here is the thing:

The old Game Boy have a protective screen over the original screen, but with high enough warmth the protective screen will melt or be charred. They removed the protective screen because it was probably too charred to be able to show anything. The Game Boy also had a nickname. "The Brick" or "Game Brick". Why? Because it could endure almost any damn thing. One person I know have a Game Boy which got splashed on with a full bucket of water.

  • @abcpat100 Guess what? It is still working. And a friend of mine have a friend that also had a game boy that was dropped dozens of times on hard concrete because of his little sister, once forgotten it out in the rain and rampaged by a crazy cat. Guess what? STILL WORKING!!! The Game Boy was made out of QUALITY. And not quantity like the DS nowadays.

  • I've got a Gameboy for 10 years and i've bought it used...i think its more than 20 years old

  • bomb shelters should be made out of gameboys

  • made of pure nintendium.

  • Okay, that Gameboy still works but mine broke when I dropped it in one measly puddly? Wtf!?

  • ahahah i forgot my gameboy color outside allwinter and i found it in the summer

the thing still works 10 years later

  • its amazing its been recovered like that though

  • i seen it two days ago

  • Buahaha, only Nintendo could last a blast from the past. :p

    lol

  • would a PSP still work? NO WAY!!

  • lol,

soldier:IVE GOT TO FINISH LEVEL FOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM

    soldier:STILL GOTTA KEEP PLAYIN!!!!!!

  • I've seen that, it's at Nintendo World in Rockafeler Plaza in Manhattan.

  • Even still, that's pretty amazing. Where is that place anyway?

  • Comment removed

  • Nintendo World in New York City

  • i have this model.

    Only not as blown up.

  • That's just messed up from the heat.

  • Hey - I want one xD

  • still, i dont think the lcd screen or whateva it is on a gameboy would come away unscratched, there has been some restoration done to it

  • Hmm, I think the insides would work but yeah the screen + the ports where the power and games would go would have to be restored.

  • It's the demo, no one's playing.

  • lol, nobody's playin the game you dummy. if you leave (almost) any game on the menu screen, it'll show previews.

  • agreed
