ya mine does the same thing once it stop if you leave it on with a blank screensaver it will never do it again, but one morning i turned the brightness down bc my eyes were hurting and its been doing it since, shit blows man, its too good to throw away lol
Very common probloem with samsung monitors. The capacitors are bad on power supply unit on the monitor. Open it and see for blown caps and test with multimeter also to be sure.
Im having the same issue Tried different machines and cords. Did you ever get the unit fixed or find out what the exact problem is with this flicker condition ?
Same problem here. My monitor (another 245BW) is only a few months old and already, it appears that the backlight has failed. That's very poor life from a relatively expensive monitor IMO. Hopefully it's under warranty! No more Samsung for me :)
it was not my GFX card or cable it was the monitor... a very very common problem with this samsung monitors... has happen to my friends and even TV's the bulb keeps flickering in high power....
i have the same monitor and i was wondering at the top of it wen u have it on say a a word doc so that there is mostly white or some other bright color, is there a black line that makes the top of the screen seem uneven to where the right side looks bent a bit?

DITTO on the flickering
Samsung SyncMaster 204b bought in 06
Acting like a florescent bulb " ballast" going bad.
Possibly a leaking capacitor .
There is a fix.
Type the following in as a web page,( cant post link here)

I bought the same monitor Aug 08. Worked fine until this week, when it started flickering exactly as shown in your video. That's about 7 months.
