@TheShadowcil That shows how good the writing is. That music is what made me cry. Watch the clip without audio and then with. Bear McCreary is truly amazing
yeah, I really doubt that after all they went through, he wouldn't bother keeping in contact with his son. Right - we've arrived, the people I've looked after and cared about for years can all bugger off. Was a bit silly. Adama was in his sixties, another couple of decades life ahead of him (with luck)
Listening to this makes me tear up. T_T It was bad enough when Sam departed, but Starbuck, too?! It's tragic in a sort of beautiful way, though, so...I can't honestly say I wish they would've done it any differently.
She was dead long before she disappeared ... he knew that, deep down. That's why he said good bye to her even though she wasn't there. It's also why her last living statement was "I'll see you on the other side." ... the same as her husbands to her.
You are right. Galactica was one hell of a woman she brought them and died with her honor in tact. Laura got to see the new Earth for at least a day and then she passed. Wow....
@smcneal057 Roslin gave up. She didn't give a damn to her presidental chair after they found the first Earth, and did nothing to lead the people to a new home.
@smcneal057 I think Chief Tyrol got screwed worse... Lost a girl, lost his wife, found out his kid ain't his, then lost his first girl all over again.... and he found out he was what he hated the most.
@Yamauta yeah, and after he killed the one that killed his wife, it's like his character just went into the background. I mean, it's been a while since I've seen the final episode, but I don't remember seeing him any scenes after that. Unless there was a scene that was just cut out. I watched the series on Netflix.
@starflame34 it was cut out. the Chief, after escorting the Admiral and a few others around Earth earth.. he requested leave to go out on his own and settled in the northern part of the island of England.
I don't think it was cut out. He was talking to Tight and Ellen about moving to a small island he found. His excuse was, he was tired of people. Human and Cylon. It is quite moving when you consider everything that had happened to him. His life being turned upside down with the discovery of him being a Cylon, and then losing what was left of his humanity with the death of his wife.
@HarakMolova The scene itself of him IN Scotland was left out of the TV airing. It made it to the DVDs, I think. (could be the other way around though.)
You know I'm still not sure if I liked the whole Starbuck thing in Season 4 or Lee's line after she goes poof (I always thought it was a tad bit cheesy) but music-vise, that scene was perfect. When 1:30 played, I had this moment when I realised that its over. The show is over. The journey is over. The story is over.
It was a very oddly sad-but-not-sad moment for me.
she's an angel right? she became an angel after crashing her ship into the planet? im hazy a bit though. she crashed ont he poisoned "earth". what was the vortex she painted as a child and flew into? what was it? why did she see a cylon no one else saw? that confuses me is that part of how she became an angel?
@Rushthatspeaks She crashed her ship in the vortex, and her ship shattered. The vortex took her broken ship (and her body) to Earth, by mystic means. And after that, she was an Angel/Christ figure.
I love the melody of this, I was so dissatisfied with 'under the wing' because it was so short. This is longer, and more satisfying - but still I want more of the melody.
Goodbye, Kara. You don't be forgot

Lee Adama and Bill Adama both got short changed in the end. Lee lost both the women he loved and Bill lost Laura.
smcneal057 2 years ago 49
It's a rather pyric victory for all of them. After all they've been through, after what they've lost, I'd say they've all been short-changed.

@smcneal057 I think, that the profecies weren't mistaken, they were misunderstood. Not Roslin was the dieing leader, Galactica was.
