That blinking yellow light on the side of the trailer is important. It usually means "Moving over now, like it or not" What were you doing riding beside him anyway?
The farthest left lane is the passing lane dumbass so of course he is going to pass you eventually trucks aren't supposed to linger in the passing lane. You should have either gave him room or moved over to your right lane.
If you can't see the driver there is a damn good chance he can't see you this is why you stay away from big trucks at all costs. And don't say you didn't see the signal, because they're on the side of the trailer and back of the tractor and the side of the tractor. You have no excuse for staying there.

I have my signal on but they don't move and my truck is set to only run 65mph, I can't speed up and I have traffic behind me so I can't slow down just like the trucker in the vid. @oiljerk Assuming you are in the US, I would expect traffic laws to be well known among your profession. Last I saw, on-ramp traffic is required to 'yield' or at least adjust themselves according to the current highway traffic (of course, that doesn't always happen, which is an annoyance to everyone.). So if it is difficult for you to change lanes to allow them on, then don't move and just stay put. (gah, character limits)

Maybe if DUMBASSES realized that the middle(or right) is for driving and the LEFT is for passing slower people in the middle lane, then the FREEWAY would be safer! In fact, YOU were actually breaking the LAW by INTERFERING with the FLOW of traffic (actual LAW) by not allowing the truck to pass you in the LEFT lane then moving BACK OVER to the middle (LIKE THE LAW SAYS HE SHOULD)!!! The truck driver did nothing wrong. A turn signal means I'm merging or I'm turning left or right. It doesn't mean pass me to the left or right. If I speed up the car speed up, and if I slow (to get behind the car) he slows also. Or the person behind me changes into the lane and races up so I can’t get over. The dangerous one here is the ignorent person trying to drive film and listening to talk radeo all at the same time. Don't get confused. The truck has the right of way all at all times. If you don't understand this you will probley get hit one of these days if you have'nt already.

I´m a truckdriver and this happens very often to me...You catch up on a slow 4wheeler and when u tries to overtake it the idiot driver speeds up.....I think u are the dangerous driver here

i will do the same thing. people please realize all truck drivers are at work...most are good safe people. give us a little respect. trucks are long. we got to get over sometimes too. thanks for all the four wheelers that have made a gap for me in the past. that truck was trying to get to an exit. you were being a jerk. try doing what you should do, instead of what you could do.

I do the same thing when ppl get next to the trailer and just linger there. If you are going fast enough to catch up to me, then pass me and don't just hang there because at some point, I'm going to need to get over too and if I signal and you don't speed up or slow down, then you asked for it. And don't say you didn't see the signal, because they're on the side of the trailer and back of the tractor and the side of the tractor. You have no excuse for staying there.

@oiljerk Agreed. I have seen this type of driving before, people seem to enjoy "lingering" near the trailor; people must understand that you may require to switch lanes.

@zarrendragon What would you propose I do when I get over to let merging traffic in, and they stay on the side of the truck and won't let me back in Mr. know it all. I have my signal on but they don't move and my truck is set to only run 65mph, I can't speed up and I have traffic behind me so I can't slow down just like the trucker in the vid. At some point, you car drivers need to grow a brain. By the sound of it, this won't happen to you anytime soon dipshit.

@oiljerk Assuming you are in the US, I would expect traffic laws to be well known among your profession. Last I saw, on-ramp traffic is required to 'yield' or at least adjust themselves according to the current highway traffic (of course, that doesn't always happen, which is an annoyance to everyone.). So if it is difficult for you to change lanes to allow them on, then don't move and just stay put. (gah, character limits)

@oiljerk Even then, I don't see why slowing a few mph and waiting for the car(s) to pass is such a problem.
Anyway, the whole reason why i even commented was that one would expect someone in such a profession as yours, especially with the extra training, would be one to know how to deal with such situations in a 'defensive' manner. Proudly going around saying you enjoy trying to run people over... just no. Everyone rages at some point, but it shouldn't actually be acted out.
