  • love everything abt this video

  • These corporal punishment is worst than getting a beat because for days u hurts so bad. My children grew up in nigeria like i did to know our heritage and when we discuss school life its fun o but before we send them to Nigeria for schooling I use to give them these punishment and afterwards they asked me where i get this type of punish from but getting to Nigeria school they understand it

  • ifeoluwapo i agree with you but to every1 else who says it looks like a promo who cares this is a good video and lagbaja is a legend regardless

  • love d QC type uniforms...

    pass on the torch!

  • I love the humour he puts into his music..... Lagbaja is awweessoome

  • This video is as real as real can get. Reminds me of secondary school and getting in trouble for making our skirts short. <3 this!

  • anyone one think the main boy in the video is Lagbaja's son? I think so!...they have the same eyes lol

  • @nukeet50 good observation...:-)

  • @ifeoluwapo1248 yep! and the way they interact too in the video...they act like father and son

  • @nukeet50 Yes he is. I am friends with his daughter on facebook and that's her bro.

  • lol @ how i misunderstood panda as the animal panda...but honestly some of those alagbede (blacksmiths i think) make the real shit not panda...3:35 reminds me of my cousin whenever she got scolded.

  • hope it sends a message to the Youth!

  • lagbaja is a talent no doubt. I gave some of his CDs as gifts to mY proffesors here in Spain. They just love his creativity and his style of muzik; a real mix of africaness and contemporary music. I hail u baba

  • lol

  • Tout simplement authentique! quelle fraîcheur! Ca nous restitue notre africanité. Quel talent Lagbaja! Ne nous égarons plus, il montre le chemin culturellement parlant!!!

  • see mouth oooooo

  • this guy called lagbaja is just too much, no faking, no imitating, core african. keep it up

  • Sooo love his Yoruba accent...not trying to fake that annoying wanna-be american drawl.

  • lagbaja is the main man.keep the flag flying

  • 9ice song and video. Lagbaja, i'm proud of you man.

  • this video is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • add some silver, spray on some gold, lol

  • Lagbaja is a Living Legend there is none like him... many people tend to criticise him because of his uniqueness listen the just doesn't do things the way others do them and it looks strange to them

  • Bling am for me well well, loool. love the video....

  • ha ha, alagbede ba won gbe - lagbaja you're too much.

  • I don't think the video was supposed to be that serious though....it has a message yes but i thought it was funny lol. Dancing was so so but thats not the point...its supposed to have a funny spin to it...overall i liked it!

  • THIS VIDEO IS 2 FUNNYY

  • I love lagbaja mehn. nice stuff.

  • the video is so poor, :(

  • One more comment:

Who made these videos? Seems more like a PROMO than the real thing.

    Dance routines were too mediocre.

Besides, real Nigerian youth don't dress like any of those lads on a good day.

LAGBAJA,in an attempt to reach for the New Generation, sir, you may need somebody closer to their time.

Otherwise, keep blessing us with those rare and original African vibes...

    Blessings!

  • @abrokenlife

You don't know Nigeria youth or even adults. Please what does D'Prince wear around? That is just naming one out of the brainwashed Nigerians

Once again you do not understand the concept. This is exaggerated to show how ridiculous it is to copy the western world blindly. That is what the song is clearly saying. You claim to be giving fair criticisms you are not.

  • @abrokenlife

    continued from above

Lagbaja is far ahead of his time and the Nigerian Music Industry.Looks like a promo?I love the concept of this video...It doesn't need more that...All Lagbaja's videos are world class...Look at all the other ones, even this one..The camera quality is impeccable, look at Sobolation, look at the Scenery? I could go on and on.

  • @02468q

Of course, LAGBAJA is a LEGEND! That's why he should be fairly criticised because he has already attained a standard!

Look, my camera can give just as much quality ok! That's not the issue I was raising at all.

SOBOLATION is a masterpiece on its onw btw.

  • @abrokenlife

Using D'Prince as an example is not incongruous(rightspelling) at all. His whole crew Don Jazzy, Wande Coal and even Dbanj a while back dressed like this. It hilarious because these are the people Nigerians celebrate and the people a lot of young people get their fashion sense from. It is definitely a good analogy.

The kid with the hat I think was trying to represent a geekor even a johnny just come.

  • @abrokenlife

The truth is that he is the average kid on the street who just buys clothes that are available and copies styles blindly such as wearing a headwarmer without understanding what it was created for.You know for a fact that we Nigerians are very guilty of copying blindly.

  • @02468q

Ok man, perhaps I expected a bit too much from the faceless legend!

The Don't seek BLING message is CLEAR from LAGBAJA though!

  • Comment removed

  • @02468q

    You missed the point mate!

I admit that a lot of Nigerian youth may indeed have a craze for "Black Americanism" but nonetheless even the kid with the headwarmer does not typify the average man on the street.

And using D'Prince as a model of the norm is just, err... incongrous!

  • @abrokenlife

I understand that you aren't focused on the camera quality but you were comparing the video to a promo. I was just trying to understand you basis for calling it a promo...by telling you that even the basic things about the video can never qualify it to be classified as a promo. I know for a fact that your camera can't give this much quality. The camera used here is definitely a professional camera.

  • @02468q i know right, ur 100% spot on!!! the people critcisizing this video are missing the point...i LOVE the simplicity and naturalness in the video, thats why i watch it almost everyday..

  • CLEARLY:

Lagbaja is missing the ingenuity, vocal dexterity and "complement" of "EGO"

Since she still has not managed to stamp her IDENTITY on the Music Industry,

I humbly plead for an exigent REUNION.

Because EGO's style cannot INDEPENDENTLY thrive in the party-loving Nigerian Music Industry . But with an already established LAGBAJA,she can soar to the skies [Just saying].

She can ask Asa,Nneka,to name a few

Pls REUNITE Omobaba muko muko! Biko! Just Give her whatver she wants!

  • Lagbaja you are too much

  • this is a tune :D i luv his sngs :D the chorus is jus Brill !!

  • I too love this guy...
