  • I have one word for you Bro' and that one word is WOW! OMG WOW! you are a stellar performer and this rendition of Amazing grace is just phenominal and I enjoyed immensely OUTSTANDING man! GACEFULLY AMAZING LOL

  • Thanks for your comments. I have recorded this song a few times now, every time different.

  • When i write my screenplay, this will be the closing credits. It's just gorgeous.

  • Thanks. I hope the film will be a blockbuster.

  • I thought, Amazing Grace was written during the Civil war?

  • It is John Newton's most famous hymn.

  • Very nice. I enjoyed your playing. How about a request "The Old rugged Cross"?

    Very talented Sir.

  • Already done that one. "How To Play A Hymn Tune". Thanks.

  • Back again :-) X

  • Hi Ruth.

  • Stunning. Congrats Ken

  • Thanks Stew.

  • superb

  • Thanks.

  • That was marvelous, Ken. I like the fact that you stayed honest with the original while still introducing some musical elements that Newton never dreamed of, like blues licks and jazz elements. Impressive work, my friend.

  • Thanks very much, Paul.

  • happy thanksgiving

  • You too.

  • I wish I had your definition of dirty, Ken. Amazing cover of this amazing song.

  • Hi John. Thank you.

  • WOW! That is worthy for Him. Nothing quick and dirty about that! Thanks Ken.

  • I know the hymn well. just the arrangement that was spontaneous.

  • Improvisation is so difficult... but not for you!

  • Thank you very much, Diez.

  • That was AMAZING! I really loved it!

  • Thank you.

  • Ken, that was beautiful.

  • Thank you.

  • Stunning!

  • Thanks.

  • fantastic!

  • Thanks DeG.

  • Love it. Really great :)

  • Thank you.

  • So awesome that I had to comment again.

  • Wow! Thanks so much, Deach.

  • ARTISTA!!!

  • Thank you.

  • That's a wonderful rendition. The song was first published in 1779, but the popular tune was matched to it in 1835. The lyrics also fit well to the tune for "the house of the rising sun".

  • Thanks very much.

  • For the love of God, this is simply beautiful. You've got a unique style that... mesmerising.

  • Thank you, Dylan.

  • @KenMiddletonUkulele And I'm back here... listening to this. I still think this is one of the best rendition of the song. If that is fine with you, I'm going to have you singing from my car player today... I mean, burn this song into a CD for my car.

  • That's fine, Dylan. Although it is a bit messy, I like this version because it shows that nyou don't have to stick to a strumming pattern.

  • Amazing Ken

  • Thanks Kenny.

  • Just wonderful. I think the strumming is as free and natural as the vocals - a nice fit. Well-presented lead, too. You make good use of the space around your single notes.

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • You are always great. Amazing Grace is a truly underrated song and you certainly did it justice.

  • Thank you so much.

  • Lovely, as always.

But the melody is a traditional American folk song called "New Britain."

Only the poem was written by John Newton,

    Great job.

  • Thanks very much.

  • Very cool Ken

  • Thanks.

  • very cool rendition Ken! lots of style.

  • Thanks Russ.

  • If Newton fall out of his pulpit he will discover gravitation (oh it is not the same ??? lol)

    V.

  • haha. thanks Val.

  • Just had to listen to it again (again!) You're incredible! :-) X

  • Thank you, Ruth.

  • wonderful job , ken

    thanks

    Ken G

  • Thank you, Ken.

  • Bluuuuuesy! I love it!

  • Thanks.

  • Was it DDUUD? Oh... you were being sarcastic :p

Wonderful work. Played from the heart.

  • No, I believe it was "chunk D D D chunk chunk U". Or maybe not! Thanks Shane.

  • Lovely feel Ken!

  • Thank you, Tony.

  • beautiful, love the bluesy vibe.

  • Thank you

  • When playing from the heart, it doesn't always fit into a neat tidy strum pattern. And if it did, this would be as wonderful as it is. Thanks, Ken, and Amen from Bro. Yopp

  • Blessings Bro Yopp.

  • One of my fav songs ever Good job :)

    easy 5 stars

  • Thank you very much.

  • Love it Ken! A bit like an old school rock n roll song.

  • Thanks R. I don't really know what it is.

  • Very cool Mr, Ken !!

Impressive blues style strumming. I love that.

  • Thank you Tsutomu.

  • Excellent, great what you have done with that song :)

  • Thanks Wilfried.

  • nicely done!

  • Thanks.

  • This is absolutely brilliant! I expected just another version, but this is... kind of making me speechless 5*++

Ok, I shouldn't expect "just another..." from you. :)

  • Thanks Ralf. I appreciate it.

  • You gotta remember it was that amazing Grace that saved us out of the quick and dirty.... Thanks for the nice rendition Ken.

  • Absolutely. Thanks UB.

  • What a great tune it is, and so unbelievably flexible with your hands and voice!

  • Thanks Lynda. My hands don't let my brain know what they are doing and my voice has a mind of its own.

  • I think that the bluegrassy sounding parts were very wonderful. Your brain and hands and voice work it out just fine!

  • Thanks.

  • there's one! oh, wait. no. That was fun, Ken! I loved it.

  • Haha. You can't catch me out. Thanks Alan.

  • Wow Ken! Awesome singing and really cool playing!

  • Hi Deach. Thanks.

  • A very excellent job Ken, dare I say it, you made it sound so fun! :-) I think John Newton would of got down from his pulpit to dance! :-) Absolutely love it! :-) X

  • I' like to have seen that, Ruth.

  • great job Ken have a good now .

  • Thanks Stephen.
